She's such a fascinating creature. Elle was easily the best film I saw all year.

I could not agree with you more. I followed her career all the way through, fascinating performances always. But in "Elle", she is absolutely... I'm beyond words.

Love her philosophical approach to almost every question, it's like she twists the interviewer's questions to go even deeper.

What a stellar performance Ms. Huppert gave in 'Elle.' I hope she wins the Oscar. She deserves it!

The question from the interviewer is from an USA culture, but her answers are very European culture. She is not only a special actress but a humble person, she is a GREAT ACTRESS with culture and EUROPEAN STYLE. Bravo ISABELLE HUPPERT you are a real LADY. Thanks for your words full of wisdom when you said that you are more pleased when someone tells you that has been touched by your movie, than telling you are a big star. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are a REAL beautiful person and a special actress.❤

I've watched and read a few interviews of her, and she's amazing. I like how she says she finds it easy to act then go back to herself when she steps off the set. She looks great for her age, too, probably from being so savage throughout her life.

would be nice to ask actors about their work more ; not the fame; fame questions are annoying
@juancpgo7 жыл бұрын
I don't think so, I don't like to hear actors talking about films, because films speak well enough of themselves. Even directors that I love, I hate interviews with them because they're always promoting a specific film and only talk about it. I prefer if they talked about the art of filmmaking itself, film as artform. But I do love when actors talk about themselves, how to deal with fame and things like that that are human and real. I very rarely see that happening though, usually actors hide that part and never discuss fame itself, as if it would threaten it or something (because they need fame to keep making films and money).

Haha first time I've seen DP so flustered throughout the interview. Not that I blame him, or wouldn't have been myself.

i really find annoying when the interviewer asks and answers his own questions. Can't you just ask the normal question?! Like HOW DOES IT FEEL, instead of did it feel like you were...etc. etc. Almost as if he is putting words in their mouth, and maybe they had something completely different on their mind, this way they're manipulated into answering whatever you proposed. I've been watching these videos for a long time, and you can really tell that for most of them its exhausting and they just kind of adapt to the level of the interviewer out of politeness, I guess. With some, like Isabelle Huppert you can't play that game, it is your job as a journalist to be more flexible and conscientious with your subjects and not the other way around.

Starting to hate Elle because reasons (not the controversial parts) but she's easily one of my favorite actress. Go back in her filmography if you haven't..

They still haven't coughed him up. Killing me, honestly. One of the first video interviews I did was with him and he was fantastic... but it was disappeared by the crap company I was working with at the time.

"Watch the film" is such a putdown directed towards the interviewer. She said the same thing to Colbert and I just love that she's not willing to change her nature when given a larger platform.

Beautiful. Great from a spectators opinion, very intimate and willing to please, bubbly almost, (at least to begin with). Have never truly taken an interest in many acting personalities only their work, but the body of work attached to this particular actress is topically criminal so am drawn into her allure. The demand these companies put upon their actors is a little too much for my sensibilities. The actors are of course very accommodating, trying to cater for all that is asked of them, but we hope their workload isn't too burdensome. The convenience of our entertainment is not all important.

The way in which the interviewer asks questions is set up in a way to get the answer he wants. In some was this is a very limited interview because of this. Asking questions in this way limits the response of the person responding. This whole interview is a mess. He talks almost as much as she does, and when he does he is unclear.

She was exhausted. End of the day and late. Plus room was lit for an earlier time, so that was complicated. Then I didn't check her mic. But I have never really found a good space with her on an interview. An ongoing challenge, I hope.

Gerhard Wazowski It is. I just saw it for the first time, or times, as I've watched it twice now. Best review I've read is one written by a woman psychiatrist, in which she discusses trauma . Can't remember the doctor's name. She shed light on quite a few things for me. Very intriguing movie, and fantastic performance by Huppert.
