Always felt a friendship with Laurie Anderson through her music, right back to Big Science and Mr Heartbreak days. What a voice. What a smile, and expressions. And how her eyes light up. Lovely interview.

I've been a Laurie Anderson fan since someone told me in almost these exact words, "there's this chick with weird hair who makes all these noises and I think her name is Laurie Anderson. I didn't like it, but you might". It was O Superman and I loved it.

To my mind, the LA of this video is exactly the person we would expect, given what she has done with her life. So it can not be surprising that she is so original and smart. If there is a surprise here, it is her deep and authentic humility. That is so appealing.

The movie isn't by Bulgakov. It's based on his book of the same name.

+E Hoff I'm aware that her movie isn't based on the book. In the interview, she said there was another movie by the writer Mikhail Bulgakov, with the same name. I just wanted to clarify that she misspoke slightly when said the other movie was by Bulgakov, as it wasn't.

Weird thing is it starts up sort of like Tank Girl mixed with Heavy Metal. It amazes me that there are data plants that have raid arrays full of drug dependants and 3 year olds singing and whatnot. I don't even have raid arrays, but I do have good backup strategies. The dog thing is really just probably a latent god complex.

So, the whole of the US is indebted to the former USSR? You were being a little silly, no? Btw, if you have any pull, can you please tell Putin to gtfo of Ukraine? Then the whole of the US will be indebted to you (if it works).
@mila2max2 жыл бұрын
@@sambamanderson5154 I didn't understand you. What is the connection between what I wrote and the debt? Sayings like "Tell your Putin" will make me laugh. This is so stupid. Can you imagine for just one minute what that might look like? He is not my dad, and not even a friend to whom I can say something, and he will think and say "Oh yes, I was wrong, I will correct myself and be a good leader." He has a whole team of influential people behind him who strongly recommended not to attack Ukraine. And this is not Mila from the Internet, but very influential people. If it were not for his ambitions and desire to be popular in Russia, then there would be no 2014 either. Propaganda is everywhere, in all countries the current government is trying to impose an ideology, even if it is absurd. And it works. Canadian liberals have never been so close to real madness, but people eat this garbage too and smack. I gave up on them 15 years ago. Conservatives have become centrists, and liberals have become terrible dictators and deceivers. Nobody can be trusted. Power leads to madness and permissiveness. Look what Trudeau is doing.
