Today (18th March 2023) is the 64th birthday of director, writer and producer, Luc Besson. A BAFTA award winner, with another BAFTA award nomination to his name. Besson's career in film began with short film, The Penultimate aka L'avant dernier, which was directed and co-written by Besson, and which he would two years later remake into his feature film debut, The Last Battle aka Le Dernier Combat. What about "Lucy" or "Valerian" or "Lockout"? And why is "Subway" only number 10? Epic soundtrack as never used before in other movies, epic acting with the best french actors at their best. Are you even qualified to rate european movies? The U.S. always tries to copy these masterpieces with no success. I liked how the american version of Nikita failed bombastically. Don't you feel any shame?
