I'm always shocked at how good these are. I know this is redundant by this point, but thanks for the amazing content.

Enjoyed that very much. Thank you. As you do you put him at his ease and gave us a sense of the man and the artist.

Discovering more of this man's work during quarantine. A real genius. HIGH HOPES, CAREER GIRLS, NAKED, LIFE IS SWEET = all great! And yeah, I bet the director he is talking about is either Stephen Frears (why else would he do Florence Foster Jenkins) or Ridley Scott.

Amazing interview. And yes, I think it is R. Scott.

Ooh, I'd love to have lunch with Mr Leigh and Mr Spall (and Mr Turner too, of course!). Thank you.

Vinyl isn't really comparable to celluloid. Music always existed before vinyl, vinyl was just a method of recording. The invention of celluloid actually marks the invention of cinema. They are each other, and you don't have to be a luddite to recognize that. Of course, though, love this man.

Which British director is he talking about 18m in, Stephen Frears?

I have waited so long for DP/30 to interview Mike Leigh, and when it finally happens it's of course the best Mike Leigh-interview ever made. Thank you!

Erik Danielsson So you might enjoy this from 2008 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2nRkmqFnpylgZI. And I realized, upon checking, that the 2010 interview for Another Year is not posted... that will be up shortly.

Love his films but the Turner film I didn't like very much for some reason, the photography was great but the way Turner was portrayed didn't feel right. Topsy Turvy however was a masterpiece

I’m guessing Danny Boyle or Ken Loach
@FloydPink235 жыл бұрын
He loves Ken Loach and he also was very complimentary over Boyle in the past. Probably not.
