Kirsten is so modest. She knocked it out of the park with Melancholia. Seven months after seeing the movie and I am still romanticizing the movie within my own life. Ooo and her husky voice at the end of the movie is so sultry. It's like warm molasses :)

Kirsten Dunst is my favorite actress by far, she's such a humble, caring and respectful person. A lot of celebrities tend to only care about themselves in the end but Kirsten is not like that at all. I would do anything to meet her one day!

Melancholia got me through one of my most devastating times. I needed to find a place to stay for 2 years while my building was renovated, each place that was suggested was extremely dangerous and frightening, at the same time I had come to grips with the possibility of cataclysmic disasters due to climate change. Usually, I would meditate, but because I was looking for a new home and packing, etc., I could not find a peaceful place for that. It put me into a state of shock wherein there was a major shut down of my spirit. Once located in a grand apartment, quite safe, and very posh and beautiful, I could relax, but I could not escape the original shock. While watching Melancholia so many times, about 9 or twelve, slowly melted my being, that had become a block of ice or a huge iceberg. It had Kirstin giving herself over to calamity as if it were an aggressive lover and simply submitting to it. It had Gainsborough trying to reconcile impending disaster with a flippant husband and a potentially frightened child, not to mention a sister who seemed to be unstable. Every day, watching these people watch as the cosmos itself threatened all with annihilation was so very cathartic that it pulled me through just like meditation used to. The fights and loss of temper were real and also released pent-up feelings as well. By the time the pandemic hit, I was stoic, unmoved, fearless, and ready to help others. This is the first time I shared this with anyone.
