For the former child actors who are typical, healthy adults (who may still be in the industry), I notice they have the same experiences of being super protected on sets. They didn’t know all the drama, they weren’t going out, they had their parents on set at all times. But the sets themselves were kid-friendly. I also don’t think there are a LOT of former child actors who went off the rails, we just obviously hear about the ones who did. But most of them are functional, regular adults, whether or not they continued in the tv and film industries.

Too often female celebrities seem to feel like they can’t accept their well-earned compliments because they’ll be accused of “having an ego”, or they feel like they need to go far to the other end of the spectrum, which is self-confidence to the point of disregarding all the people and circumstances that helped support them getting to where they are. I'm so glad Kirsten was protected there are so many child actors that had parents just throw them in then leave. Her mom cared and its really amazing I wish they all had the same.

She’s so charming. I love the way she slows down to articulate what she loves and respects about the films and the people she worked with. There’s just something very lovely and elegant about how intentionally she chooses her words

@chelsear112 the main point of that movie is to make you feel the feeling of melancholia and depression. This understanding actually made it so much better second time I watched it actually understand and make a note of how it makes you feel.

I am so glad she never gave up acting. Even when she was very depressed. I can’t even begin to choose my favourite role by her. They’re all so magical! 🪄

Seriously the best career in Hollywood. Iconic role after iconic role. She’s been a fave of mine since…forever.

Truly an iconic actress, has done many different types of roles, has had a long career. Its so easy to forget all shes done and how well shes done it because she is so unproblematic and not in your face 24/7 but she deserves so much more recognition.

One of the best modern filmographies. The Coppola films, Melancholia, Spiderman, the best season of Fargo and her recent films. Always something interesting going on.

hearing about her experiences doing films during her early years really makes a great example of why/how she is so successful as an adult today. sounds like the crew, directors, and actors always took good care of her on set. tom and brad treating her like a little sister, the acting coach training in such a professional way, and of course.. no better director than sofia to guide her.

The biggest compliment I could give Kirsten is how completely grounded and normal she is considering her international fame and fortune. Her parents have done a fantastic job and should be very proud. Now please can we have you as the lead in the next TV show phenomenon 👏🏼

Kirsten Dunst is the ultimate girl icon 💕 i am 32 now, and she's just been in my life for two decades. i LOVE her. she will never know how much she means to me, and the roles she chose and the movies she's in. just icon after icon. they forgot to show "mona lisa smile" and that's also one of my fave kirsten roles 🌺
