You are very spot on about the theatrics! I think that's just what happens if you mix someone obsessed with musicals, a heavy metal scene kid and someone with an extremely overactive imagination together into one person. Throw in a couple of years in the idol industry and you've got DPR Ian. You will get to a point on your DPR Ian journey where you will understand just why the performances are so extremely authentic and emotional, this stuff is very real to him. But I won't spoil, I think it's going to be very fun for you to figure it all out gradually. Also, I personally would really enjoy you theorising and speculating, please don't hold back on that! Even if you don't hit all the marks, his art invites you to think and fantasise, that's where the fun is at!

Thank you for this heart felt reaction. DPR Ian is such a complete talented artist, his music videos and story telling are so unique and original, a rarity these days. DPR Ian (or Christian) also happens to be a real sweet heart. This song is haunting, beautiful and sad at the same time. DPR Ian wears his heart on his sleeve and expresses great vulnerability (as you mentioned) with his incredible lyrics. He deserves to be an even bigger star and more well known!. Mito in the context of D.I.D, represents his manic lows, but is also a protector of DPR Ian, and restores balance. Mito is usually represented in videos in black and white, as a one eyed fallen angel, with deeper voice. The opposing force is the more colourful, more chaotic Mr.Insanity, representing manic highs, to the best of my knowledge. 🙏❤
