Now I see why I am usually under 100k dps in pugs. I actually destroy the sub transformers instead of just pumping damage into the central transformer without destroying it.

Yeah, that works when your teammates destroy the little ones. Sometimes, in a PUG, you get that team the just can't get out of its own way. That requires more direct intervention. Any DPS score you were looking for is gone anyway. Then you get the two player demo squad. They have no place in an ISA PUG, because they each knock out insane DPS. Enough that they don't need to worry about anything beyond pointing their Vaadwaur Juggernauts ar the bad guy a tapping the spacebar. Always ways to cheese DPS numbers up. In the old days, people kept up the DPS by spamming attacks against the Gateway as they crossed over. Beam FAW was the meta then. It was easy. Now you can't attack the Gateway until the Generators are down. All good though. DPS is just a number. It's nothing more than a metric that tells you how well you've followed the Meta recipe.

The M6 Console can also be purchased in the Temporal Special Agent Pack Zen Pack, so everyone can have one! EDIT: The Pack cost 15,000 zen, and can be purchased on the website for actual cash (~UK£100). It also has the Eternal as well, so it's another reason to buy the said pack.)

You can buy them for 75k Dil a piece by buying the ship from the ship store, though at 500dil per zen that is 150 zen per console.

The M6 is a great little console. Wish I had bought the ship when it was Zen, so all of my characters could access it. To be blunt (sorry), I think it is only a DPRM replacement due to the availability of the DPRM becoming vanishingly microscopic. At this time, any half-decent console is a viable DPRM replacement. The DPRM is unique in that it is both a last ditch heal and substantial damage outlay console all in one. Unless Cryptic decides to introduce a DPRM-lite console with wider availability, I'm just not sure we can ever get a general purpose replacement. But thank you for the video and suggestion. The M6 is really good for DEW builds and more people should be made aware that it's out there.

Would you recommend the M6 in addition to the DOMINO (if you’re equipping it)? Also, my KDF recruit has zero trouble with the option to buy & slot the ship in Qonos if I had an open slot & wanted to do so.

I would. The Firing Cycle Haste stacks with DOMINO and the Trilithium set. Great for speeding up your Alpha strike attack run, especially with Beam Overload.

On the build in the vid I would not run both. These consoles are only good for stacking on top of other abilities for alpha strikes, the other consoles in this build are benefiting me the whole time and I would not trade any other them to run both the DMRP and the M6 on this build. All of the other consoles are giving me + crit, not worth trading for clicky with 2 min cool down. I would run both if I was missing some of these other consoles....

So let me ask this in s different way : In the video, you made a fleeting comparison to the D.O.M.I.N.O console from the Bajoran raider -- which is again quite outside the reach of the average player (I have it from the event it was introduced in) . So my question would be : If someone doesn't have the DPRM or the DOMINO consoles , would the M6 console go on most non-sci builds as a 2nd or 3rd choice -- in the place of a DPRM or a DOMINO ? Good video btw, sorry I didn't say so before .

@@Robotrik1 Thank you, Yes I would use it in place of the DPRM and DOMINO If I did not have them. For instance on the build in the vid, I do not have DOMINO and if I did not have the DPRM I would most definitely use the M6.

Very good for the clarification. Unfortunately the truth is, when a high impact change like this made by dev/management in the game they should make available it bound to account also the mirror strike ship and others traits/console too. Needless to say this action for sure will be much more frendly to new and veteram player maintened them logged in trying new builds and composotion playing the game. There is not only tac char in the game, there is sci and eng to that could be more challenge and creative to play. Made it bound to account for sure make cryptic really receive the zen, not the others make it overprice and only few player has access. Every change like this in the game make a new player looking for other more friendly game to log in and play.

DPRM is a great console. However, I personally think its Waaaaaaaay over valued in game. I dont own the console on any of my Fed toons, and the majority of my Fed toons out perform my Rom and KDF toons that all have DPRM and similar lobi and high end gear. Again DPRM is great, it's pretty much a must have console for min-maxing. But as with all builds, if you have right the traits and piloting you can do just fine without DPRM, and still perform at an Advanced/Elite level.

So you have a video making a big deal about SPEED = more DPS. Then in these two parced videos, you are basically Sitting Still, and getting great DPS.. Which is it? Speed or sitting still ?

Speed/movement to get in to the proper position, once in the proper position no need to move until enemy is dead. Once enemies are dead get to next position/group of enemies as quickly as possible....... "Which is it?" = Both

The nerf to the cross faction console boxes was a huge blow to the dps community. Cryptics gotten so greedy lately its out me off the game.

It certainly put the highest end meta in the hands of the space wealthy. On the other hand, it clearly demonstrates current management's disdain for C-Store purchases. A person wanting MC Stu's 4 C-Store traits need only buy the four ships that they like. That's gotta cut into C-Store revenue. Which means that they either get much more from new Promo ship burst sales, or that STO is nearing its sunset date.

Hey Mc Stu, Just a question and maybe a future video you would make, I started playing as a casual player since 2012 and was just enjoying STO for the LOLs considering that STO was the 2nd Online game (Mechwarrior online was the first) that I played, I only started spending real money in the game to purchase the Arbiter when it came out and was so happy with it anyways my question is regarding your opinions on the immediate future of STO 2-3 years maybe on the point of view of a casual or occasional cash spender in the game, like is it worth the investment to spend in STO, my fear on the investment side (since I have invested at lease $200 in this game in the past 9 years) is it safe to continue to do so? STO is the sort of game I go back to, to keep myself occupied and entertained because of the pew pew of the ships. What is the future of STO in the 2-3 years ? Thanks! I definitely enjoy your videos

I looked at the stats, it isnt that impressive. 30 accuracy is probably as good as 3% crit. You can run DPRM and the M6 and click them at the same time.

its far from the best console in the game... its 40% dmg for 20 seconds...with 1:40 cooldown. this is the "old" way of thinking dps in sto. nanny runs...thats not the thing any more...solo.and for that you need "other things" you cant have if you have that thing. i got 1 for you...hull refractors.20% damage ALL the time,and you cant die...better than sometimes...and might not die...u see? the domino is crap too :P
