I've been playing since it went free to play and never knew any of this because leveling legendary ships definitely takes a while and I just did the final level on a ship in just a few minutes so this video is amazing! Thanks for posting this it completely out

I'm new to the game, but 2 things I love about it: (1) it's very wonky, great for detail and stats. Suits players with an interest in incremental improvement and educating yourself about a game. And (2)nd, the game is clearly aimed at the endgame, no pretense of being about a leveling experience. I mean you can level in a week and mostly with roster stuff. This is so refreshing, most mmorpgs seem apologetic about this, lol. Subscribing to MC Stu is an obvious thing to do in this regard. Going to stay.

If you were to upgrade to T6-2X, whay additional console would toy add? Maybe the M6?

This game is so convoluted. I'm playing on Playstation and the menus are completely different. I have no idea how to play this ridiculous game

They should really invest more into the gameplay experience and not so much into the store. I still play with the Risian Corvette T5U now maxxed out, because I don't want to buy a new ship or retrain crew on new stations. What I want is to experience new episodes and I want functional ship interiors and the clothing system backend needs a complete rework. I play a Federation affiliated Klingon character, which was available as a premium character unlock back then, but is now completely ignored in costume availability or bug fixing. Keeping the game alive just for the sake of getting the most out of the monetization is betrayal at us lifetimers and premium customers. If they just keep the things as they currently are, and not agressively ramp up the content they churn out, I will play Star Citizen instead which is currently in a very active open development.

What character level can I start doing events like this?

50 damage resistance rating is 32.8% actual damage reduction. 100 rating is 48.0%, and 200 is 61.2% 50 Cat1 + 50 Cat2 is 65.6% reduction. So yes, it's very good. Edit: This might not be totally accurate, but it will be pretty close to this. Bonus DR has its own scaling curve.

The problem is their controls, while abundant, are still terrible. In a modern aircraft, or even a boat. you push forward on the throttle to increase velocity. SC is the exact opposite. There is a difference between a bi-directional throttle, meaning when the throttle is at 50% the ship doesnt move at all. and if you pull back a little you move in reverse, push the throttle forward a bit and you move forward, and a one-directional throttle. I want a switch that toggles between forward and reverse, while pusihing forward on the throttle sets the desired velocity, but not the direction in which the ship moves. Inverting the throttle needs to be a setting of its own. Problem solved and folks are happy. The way it currently is: is epically stupid.

its a matter of opinion that carriers are "not as good" what are you trying to do? min/maxing DPS is ridiculous in this game. Nobody cares if you can solo ICE in under a minute, and your ruining it for other people who actually want to play the TFO, get a life.

I was on Risa yesterday (6/25/24) on console & the ship is already parked there... it's pretty big

To use a carrier effectively, you have to have the skills setup, the Doffs the right traits and the right pets and consoles. That's s lot of expensive ducks to get in a row. The big advantage they have (not big enough imo) is they can engage targets over 10km using pets, I'd like to increase the trait and module coverage (for pets) out to 15-20km or the entire map in order to give them a niche that quite frankly they should already have.

Cant you put a kit mod on each of your away team/Boff after upgrading them with a Boff train token, and in turn have each of them use a different element and then reap the rewards?

I love the summer events, never gets old. I wish it lasted longer. I think some events should be. Give you a break from the normal stuff. Could allow people to earn a few favors a day and catch up on all the stuff in the store.

You can also use the hoverboards on your colony holding map, makes getting around to do the projects (mining, batteries etc) easier/faster to get to.

the only imo good looking T6 ship i got is the Hestia. Ive been wondering if the multiverctor assaultmode and the stinky aura you can activate can be made valuable. because as of right now im not using them, because they dont seem valuable enough to " waste " 2 consoleslots at. id love to see the vectors haveing actual power behind their shots

nice - i have lots of favors saved up - the new kits sound cool. Thanks for keeping us up to date!! (if you have lots of alts - just run the daily on all of them once per day - takes about 30 minutes for about 8 toons - that's a quick 400 favors per day.)

Well, the old Obelisk Swarmers packed quite a punch for regular content and advanced TFOs, so I kinda like this one coming out

started this game short while before the gamma recruit event so this will be my first summer event hope i like it as much as the winter event thought the event hoping comes soon is the temporal recruit event so i can make my last recruit character to get all the recruit unlocks

Ship looks cool enough. I like this event cus it's bottom line quick and easy for a ship. Never do the rest it never interests me much. But in jetpack and out free ship is great. And I've never had a good carrier

Console is called "Console Universal - Subspace Fracture Tunneling Field" it's part of the ancient obelisk technology set which is now a 4 piece set. 4 piece set is as follows. Set 4: Automated Interception Swarm Obelisk Set Bonus Creates a Obelisk Swarmer every 1 sec with up to 8 of them flight at the same time.

What really gets me is that this thing looks too much like the Aspero for it to be an accident.

That is a very nice free ship. I'm excited. GOGO Jetpack-o-hoverloop! It's a bit sad that everything is about stats in this kind of games. Especially in STO where it doesn't even make sense, unless you're parsing. Space-barbie ftw 😎
