Does someone have an update on this case. This just happened to me in Texas and DPS denied to financially compensate. According to DPS in Texas, because the damages were not caused by the vehicle itself they are not liable. :(

This just happened to my daughter she hit spikes for someone else taking out two then 3! Tires and you guessed it State Patrol tried to say she had a collision by herself they weren’t hurt but took out her suspension and more totaling out her car. There was no body damage at all there goes the collision theory and 6!holes in the walls of her tires so we are perusing a civil case

Teach her how to drive lawfully. Stop letting the child tell the parent how things are done. Bad parenting presumably. Duh pull to the side of the road and stop when emergency lights are in the area

If they were checking the mirrors every 7 seconds they would notice emergency lights in the mirrors instantly. If they pulled over immediately to a stop. It would be impossible to get the tires spiked. Doesnt at all sound possible to be spiked and innocent to me.
