Excellent tips on using them. It takes getting used to but they are so efficient with leaving a good finish with very versatile cut. Z1 also has surprising cut and finish. I enjoy using all of them and they are great to have if applying a coating. One other great aspect besides the no panel wipe option is no dusting.

The NSP45 works exceptionally well at removing P3000 sanding scratches. I had a full paint correction/ceramic coating with many areas needing wet sanding. I paired this with the orange Lake Country CCS pads and the results were phenomenal. Won’t use anything else!

Clarification on techniques. When you were demonstrating the NSP 150 on a blue HDO pad, I heard that medium arm speed and machine speed 5 until and cycle time are based on the first few indications of clear spots. My questions: Are the arm speed and machine speed used for the NSP 45 and 95, the same as NSP 150?

so 2ith the Z1 can Instill apply a differnt ceramic coating after using Z1? My other question is eince Z1 has that range of .45 to about .95 micor spheres.Could you then go from a NSP 150 to a Z1 . So going from removing heavy defects using thr 150 down to lets say 4emoving holograms or swirlsnysing the Z1?
@mikephillipsrealworlddetailing3 ай бұрын
Yes to the first question and yes to the second question assuming the paint isn't hard. And all of this depends on what you're using with the NSP 150 as well as what you're trying to do? Are you using a Porter Cable with a foam pad to remove deep scratches? Give me an example of what you're working on and what you're trying to accomplish. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Mike Phillips

Just ordered some of those to get my hands on! Unfortunately your products are not available here in germany so I have to place my order in the US.... But, one question I do have! If Iam using a different polish or compound before I use NSP45 or 95, is it necessary to do a IPA or precleaner wipedown to take off the residues coming from the polish/compound?
@MikePhillips-Dr.Beasleys6 ай бұрын
I would say "no". When using the NSP products after another product, they should effectively remove any of the residues left by the other products. If you're OCD to the max, then use a panel wipe after other products. -Mike Phillips

Thanks for the demo on proper use. I get that you don’t need to wipe with panel prep after-great! A couple of questions: 1. Does the primer work for any type of multi-year pro coating? For example, Apex’s BC1 is a 3-5 year polysilazane “pre-ceramic” coating with better chemical and heat resistance than a more typical SiO2 costing. Would the primers also work for polysilazane coatings? 2. I’m confused about how the priming works in general. The usual rule of thumb is that the strongest and longest lasting coating goes on the bottom as the base layer. A stronger layer on top of a weaker one will only work as well has the weaker layer that’s bonded to the clear coat. But here we are using an SiO2 primer that is surely not as strong as the pro coating that we’re preparing to apply. So how does the primer improve the bond with the stronger coating? And why won’t the pro coating adhere just as well to a properly prepped, but non-primed surface? I get that the primer creates SiO2 anchor points, but so does the coating itself-the polymers crosslink as it cures to make a strong bond to the clear coat. How can the primer improve on this?
@DrBeasleys Жыл бұрын
1. Yes - we actually designed the NSPs with our multi-year Nano-Resin Pro ceramic coating in mind. 2. NSPs don't necessarily add a "layer" of protection (with the exception of the AIO, NSP Z1) but instead provide additional anchor points and an initial layer of film build to contribute to thickness. Obviously you don't *need* NSPs to achieve an excellent bond - people were doing just fine installing professional ceramic coatings long before this technology. Durability, at the end of the day, is largely a matter of proper prep and careful application. NSPs just help make that easier!

great video educating not only the benefits/differences of the same size abrasive.....but more importantly how to maximize those benefits in use/application. nice to see Jim in the shop in the background. last 2 times i stopped by he was involved with other projects so we could not visit. if u are going to apply a coating....is it better to use the NSP line due to the fact that the bonding matrix is more pronounced..vs..Z1 which also lays down the si02/ti02 protection. am i understanding the differences correctly????.. and since z1 is protection u could topp/maintain it with advancecoat gloss???? could u also cover the diff between total decon and paint prep???? with respect to final wipe b4 NSP.....or as a decon b4 use of advancecoat gloss or similiar maintenance topper. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO JIM AND THE ENTIRE DR BEASLEYS/SIMONS CREW....stay safe and well with the new surge...if i dont get to stop by b4 xmas.....may yours be filled with special moments that become magical memories...and see u next year..lol take care Jim...... best, John

Maintenance with AdvanceCoat:Gloss is not required for coatings of 1 year or less (such as Z1) but it certainly will not hurt! IF you plan on following with dedicated multi-year coating we would recommend finishing out with NSP 45 (or 95). Otherwise, LS-10 is a great topper for NSP Z1 for an additional pop of shine and slickness.

I always hear that the buffer machine leaves swirls after polishing being done, is this due to the pressure of the machine or the polishe/compound being applied? And are we going to get these swirls after polishing using NSPs?
@DrBeasleys2 жыл бұрын
Heavy cut abrasives (like our NSP150) with aggressive cutting pads may leave swirls. This is why we then refine the paint with a polishing pad and a less aggressive abrasive (like NSP95 or NSP45) to finish the correction to a deep gloss.

How does 150 and 95 work with MF pads? Can you apply a wax or sealant directly over the polishes ?

No problem with MF pads. Can you apply old tech like wax or a sealant over an NSP? Sure you can... but why not follow with new tech protection? If you like the wax experience try Dr. Beasley's Plasmacoat. Old school experience with new tech protection.

@@directorofsuccess awesome sauce. Can 1201 be applied after Z1? Or does Z1 need it's cure time? Given that 1201 is a wet application.

@@ChadStJohn Short answer: Yes. You are all good to move from Z1 into 1201 even with 1201 being a wet application. Remember we are not flooding the panels. You are looking for that "morning dew" mist of distilled water on the panel. FYI I'm available to discuss and am not hard to find if you want to connect via email, phone, etc.
