My cardiologist lost her mind when I told her I was eating ketovore. That was until my last visit last Tuesday. I have 50% blockage in my arteries and I have had a heart attack and was having chest pains regularly. For the last 6 months I have had no chest pains I have used no nitro pills. She told me to continue as I have been doing.

I've recently started having chest pains after almost three years carnivore. I suspect its because of an imbalance of omega6 to omega3 . I have an appointment with a new Dr in a couple weeks. I'm sure they'll push the plant based, take a station routine instead of even talking about food.

@Mark Landers I am so fortunate that I have a primary care doctor that started pushing me this way. Although he was pushing me to eat gluten-free at first. When I started having success doing what I was doing, both he and my cardiologist started encouraging me to continue. I lapsed back to the SAD through the holidays and after. I have started back on the ketovore diet for about 3 weeks now. I need to drop another 100 pounds and make this my permanent diet. I pray your doctor will help you in the correct way.

I’m 75 and have been severely depressed , full of inflammation, high blood pressure, fighting with twenty extra pounds and zero energy. Basically praying for death every night as I went to bed. Apparently Spirit had other plans because he put your video on my iPad every time I had it on. Finally I watched it and then I watched a few dozen more. I finally decided I needed to jump in and do it and I’m so glad I started it trying to stay as close to zero as I could. By the second day I had no cravings at all,and in two weeks I still haven’t. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for over two years and I have tried to get on a low carb diet but always my cravings get the best of me. After just two weeks my issues are disappearing,,inflammation is all but gone, depression is completely gone , even my blood pressure is lower. I’ve been showing signs of dementia, repeating myself and losing the thread of a conversation when I’m talking. That hasn’t happened in a few days now. I’ve lost 9 lbs so far and that’s just a happy side effect. I’m so excited about the rest of my life it’s hard to contain myself. Thank you Dr. Berry for saving my life 😊 Huzzah!!!

I have come off my type 2 diabetes meds and antidepressant meds. I don't know how you are doing but hang in there your body has had carbs for 69+ years and needs to adjust to eating what we are supposed to eat. Would like hear from you. Michael

@@marianne1959 it won’t last more than 6 months. Take a blood glucose test and u will find u still have t2. U loose weight by having fewer calories and few other things. This can be done in many other diets. Is this is reason for your improved perceived health changes. Your ldl and blood pressure will go up soon. Science is pretty clear what u doing is very harmful to yourself in medium to long term where as a whole food plant based diet is best.

I got my youngest daughter on Keto. She suffered terrible female issues with heavy bleeding. In less than one month on eating healthy fats and meats, her female issues subsided. Her heavy bleeding stopped and she lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. She is so blown away by the quick change. My close friend started Keto January 1st. Doc had to take her off all her BP meds because her BP stabilized to normal. Also no more gerd or acid reflux pills. Gone and she has lost over 20 pounds. This flat out WORKS! Sugar and grains are carbs that cause insulin resistance. My dads diabetes went away just tweaking his diet. He was 88. Dr took him off his meds. Never happens she said. Low carb, Keto does work. Dr Adkins back in the late 60's took criticism for this for years. Sad that a diet change can help you get healthy. 😪 When a simple change can give you back your life. And those you trust choose to not see the light.

I had horrific periods as a teenager and my father would have to take me to the Navy Dispensary where they would give me methergin shots to slow the hemorrhaging. I so wish this info had been available to me. I was always underweight as a kid so it wasn't weight related. My mother served us absolute crap for food and I know that was the problem. I had to gave a total hysterectomy by the time In was 31 due to hemorrhaging and severe blood loss. I had my first heart attack at 49 eating vegan!! My cardiologist was a genius and told me my vegan diet had to STOP immediately and eat meat. I didnt totally believe him. Tge SAD had a hold on me and I had another MI. Now I'm 71, carnivore and the healthiest I've ever been. I know carnivore is the way to eat for me. No high blood pressure, no diabetes, skin tags disappearing, HEALTHY now. Thanks Dr. Berry.

What really makes me sad is when my sister will not try anything like this when I have personally seen her try every fad diet under the sun. She said I was killing myself when I started fasting, she says I will get Scurvy when eating carnivore. She watched me lose 45 pounds and be healthy and still won’t try it. In the mean time she is on diabetic meds, suffers from a host of chronic issues from weight issues. It breaks my heart.

People will only hear the truth when they're ready for it. My father passed away a nursing home less than a month ago. He'd had multiple comorbidities for decades before a stroke killed him. However, if he were alive today, he'd still be eating all the sugar and carbs he could convince the aides to give him. My SIL is on a similar path, but there is no talking to her. It's so hard to see people we care about suffer needlessly.

Keto/ketovore/carnivore are definitely the way to go. Something I found helpful is going to a physical therapist once I started feeling and seeing the positive changes. Other than grade school, I'd never had any instruction on how to exercise. I got a recommendation for a functional med doc/chiropractor who coordinated with a physical therapist in his building and started a weekly therapeutic program with them. For me, there has been a huge difference between trying to follow some videos online and having someone there in person to help me learn how to move. It turned out one entire side of my body was much weaker than the other because of compensating for an old spinal injury, so I even had to re-learn how to walk properly balanced! You might laugh, but I know I'm not alone. Untreated or improper recovery after injuries can affect the body for years or decades down the line. My progress was (and still is) slow and steady, but I've never had any interruption by strains, sprains, or tears the way I likely would've on my own.

I highly recommend checking out a program called The Egoscue Method. It by a guy named Pete Egoscue, the book is called Pain Free. It's unlike any PT or exercise I had ever been told to do for a lifelong serious back injury. It's all about undoing compensating muscles. It saved my life. It's still my number 1 go to therapy to stay as functional as I can.

I am working one on one with a pilates instructor. She has been so helpful. I had Guillian Barre Syndrome and was paralyzed five years ago - still recovering my posture. I’ll jump into her group classes as soon as I can. The challenge is living in Portugal, they are in Portuguese! 😂❤ I hear you. There is a difference than working with a video instructor.

Thank you Dr Berry. You have been a big part of my journey of losing 40lbs between Christmas Day 2022, and March 20 of 2023. I had heard of reduced hunger during fat burning mode for years and could never achieve it through fasting alone. I had started to believe it was a myth, or territory for the “elite” but I have since discovered that I too can live in this state quite comfortably and while feeling more satisfied than I ever did on an “FDA approved” diet.

I'm a week into my no coffee journey ... I figured to give it at least a month. I reduced my intake to a few ounces a day before stopping. For one afternoon I felt a little foggy/tired, but that was it. Feel great so far! Currently strictly BBBE for nearly five months.

@michealhall4512
@michealhall4512 Жыл бұрын
@@Chrissy0325 I'd like to see how I feel without it. Caffeine is addictive and a toxin. I've consumed an awful lot of it over the years. Currently I'm doing a full carnivore diet - nothing from plants. Carnivore is a great anti-inflammatory elimination diet. It is wonderful for returning a body to a baseline state and then you can add things back in to see how they affect you and you can then decide if that affect is something you can live with. That's my current plan with coffee. I'll go without for a while so I can see if I feel better without it, but the key will be when I add it back in, do I feel worse? Jitters from the caffeine? Headache? Interrupted sleep or reduced sleep quality? I'd like to know how coffee is supposed to benefit the liver, and if that applies to someone who isn't eating carbs. So many of the "it's good for you" arguments seem to be based around on people eating high carb diets which cause excess oxidation stress on the body via glucose fluctuations and seed oils. That isn't the case on a no-carb diet.

My hair was silver at the roots and about 4 inches out… Since I have been on high fat, moderate protein, almost no carbs… My hair is turning blonde again! So much so that several people have asked me “did you color your hair? I thought you were not interested in that.”🎉🎉 Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind my hair color being silver but I think it’s pretty fascinating that my hair is turning back to its original color.

He had already raised my Atorvastatin to 80mg. I went on line to educated myself and found you. I have cut my statin in half. I have lost 15 #. I enjoy my high meat/low low carb food. My legs don’t hurt. I don’t sleep all the time. My heartburn is gone (my sister died of esophageal cancer after a stomach staple surgery, she had heartburn all day and night). I am not bloated all the time, much less gas, soft regular stool, I can swallow without food catching at the bottom of my throat(no more choking on rice and potatoes),my skin rash is gone, and damn it I feel better. On the cravings topic--I have found that most cravings go away after about 20 minutes if you do something else to occupy your mind. They more physical the better. At night, especially, this can be an effective trick because you're going to go to bed before too long anyway. Just get up and do laundry or clean your kitchen counter or walk around the block. Shoot, sometimes I just grab a jump rope and jump for about 5 minutes. That said, if you just sit there and obsess over your craving, you're going to struggle.

I completely agree with the censorship concerns. My doctor is still saying he is very concerned with my LDL cholesterol even after telling him I had fasted for 4 days then eaten a day of keto and then fasted for another 3 days before my last blood work. My LDL was very high per current guidelines but from all the research I’ve read says extended fast raise cholesterol by around 25% as well as eating keto between which can elevate as well.

I know that keto has boosted my LDL. Before keto, my LDL was 20. I started keto the following month. I've had 3 more blood tests since then and my LDL has been much higher. As of last week, it was 129. Triglycerides have been decreasing and HDL has been increasing so I'm not concerned. My 2 favorite beverages are Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper. Which are 2 of the worst things for you? Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper. It's been a while since I have had either. They taste great but did me no favors so I cut ties with them.
