This is the whole issue. There is a real problem underlying the stuff that people like Nick Fuentes say, and if you respond by simply "denouncing" people like that without even trying to address their points, they're only going to grow in popularity until they swallow you up. It's happened before in other countries, and based on the political and cultural climate of America right now, it is ripe to happen here. I personally don't think that Jews are the root cause of the cultural problems in America. Yes, Jews are overrepresented among those people who have spread the cultural poison that has sickened this country, but Jews are overrepresented in all of the highest places in society, from media to banking to academia to the sciences, because, yes, they are simply smarter than average and stick together. Targeting Jews isn't going to solve the underlying issues, but Nick's viewpoints are popular because they sound plausible and they provide a clear target for one's wrath. I think that Dr. Brown should take the time to listen to what Nick Fuentes says about Jews, along with other popular alt-right figures, and properly refute it. The alt-right is larger than the Black Hebrew Israelite movement, and he's addressed the latter. He should do the same for the alt-right, and maybe some will adopt more moderate views. But simply saying, "I condemn you" will accomplish nothing.

There's also a vast over-representation of men as chess grandmasters and geniuses, an over-representation of men in prison, an over representation of black people in professional sports, an overrepresentation of asians in the math/computer science fields, an overrepresentation of white people in ceo positions. Just because there is an over representation of a certain group doesn't mean there is some sort of injustice at play or it is somehow wrong for the over-representation to exist.

Yes - we all have one vote no matter what demographic we represent, but this demographic has virtually infinitely more influence over democratic outcomes due to their over-representation in these positions.

There's a difference between criticism and calling for the death of a whole people group. What makes this even worse is Nick Fuentes trying to bring Messiah Jesus into this as if Jesus would back him up in calling for the death of Jesus' physical kinsmen. The problem gets worse when history is repeated and people actually go out killing Jews while saying it was in the cause and Name of Jesus. This works against God and His Gospel which is meant to go to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles. God's love and Salvation in Jesus are for all. Constructive criticism won't condemn a whole race. Also, constructive criticism contains encouragement where a fault might be pointed out in a loving way and how to correct it is presented in a loving way, as well. What we saw Nick Fuentes say and do is not criticism...He was speaking demonically influenced death threats towards the Jewish people with those in the audience cheering him on. This is dangerous. It's especially dangerous because throughout history, we've seen that this type of rhetoric usually leads to people acting upon it with many Jewish people dying all because a bunch of people were believing lies about us. So many of us lost so many family members because of this. May God awaken Nick Fuentes and his followers to their very condition before God. May they all turn their hearts to Jesus and be made new creations in Messiah who spread His Love, His Truth, His Gospel, His healing...to multitudes...Jew and Gentile....in Messiah Jesus' Awesome Name! Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Our ancestors understood the wisdom of keeping the church and the state separate, because they directly saw from European history the dangers of mixing church and state. The colonies did have majority religious populations, and had religious laws in their localities, but in their localities is the point. You had a safe place to be a Puritan, a safe place to be a Quaker, a safe place to be a Jew, a safe place to be a mohammedan (Muslim), and a safe place to be a deist like Thomas Jefferson. America not enforcing Faith purity tests is what has made it the most successful nation for the history of Christianity.

When you look at the historical context the first amendment is clearly referring to different Christian religions (denominations) because of the ‘diversity’ in the colonies probably. There’s a great book that talks about this and other topics “What Would the Founders Say”. The purpose of such an amendment is also to keep the Feds away from the Church, not the Church away from the government. There literally State churches that sometimes had required attendance. I wouldn’t support such laws today; this is just to say that we are a Christian nation. But even if we were simply a ‘nation of Christians’ it’s still the case that we need Christian influence today because Ave Christus Rex and He is the Way Truth and Life. We can’t flourish without Him!

I have a degree in history. Separation of church and state is not a myth, it’s in our founding documents it’s in the first treaty of the United States with another nation. Hell, half of the desire to leave the colonies is because the church of England was bound up with the king ship. There are only about three of the founders who could be said to be truly orthodox Christians. Most of them were deists or like Franklin, raised Puritan, and then deeply concerned about puritanical religion running amok. The church Hass to stay away from government. Otherwise what you said about sectarianism can never be actualized. If a sect can run a colony, they can persecute members of other sects. The principle applies to all religion, not just Christian denominations.

"Art. 11. The initial trwaty of Tripoli has an English and Arabic version. The arabic version omits article 11 Howevwe, the exact same sentiment found in article 11's english copy is reiterated in another treaty in article 14 of the Treaty Of Peace and Amity between the United States of America and the Bashaw, Bey and Subjects of Tripoli in Barbary, signed in 1805 after the initial treaty fell through after conflict in 1801. The 1805 treaty has article 14 in both English and Arabic versions. While its true that most often you do find that the founders do exist and work within their Christian sectarian frameworks, and do support those exclusivist sectarian norms, except where they explicitly disagree with Christianity, often political necessity and expediency has them opting for toleration of religious views that they would ordinarily disagree with. IE Necessity has the founders haphazardly and imperfectly acting as they know they ought according to their high ideals when it benefitd them. In a round about way, it tells me they knew full well the utility of tolerating other religions. Courting Catholic france for military aid would go against doctrines bred into their bones, but they opted to bear with. Sio yes, even tbough you could say practically, that seperation was mythical, or only a high minded ideal, when they needed to tolerate different religions, they did. The fact that you recognize that several of these men were deists or heterodox is good. Jefferson's Bible (basically the red letter devoid of any miracles) is just a book of ethics. These men valued the general civic contributions to general wellbeing offered by faith, but not religion in government. They were explicit in their desires that sects not dominate eachother. Hence "free exercise" of that clause and "congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion^ in the establushment clause. If a religious doctrine dominates, free exercise loses all meaning. Franklin writing as Silence Dogood let it rip on the Puritan zealots of his day. Many preachers saw Franklin's later inventions as witchcraft, such as the lighteningrod. Its wild. The fact that king George was the head of the Church of England, and the fact that the founders knew the power that an English state Church exercised to stamp out liberty in british history was foremost on their minds as.Englishmen.
