Fire mitigation is a never ending chore around here. Particularly cutting scrub oak. The DR Field and Brush Mower PRO MAX34 may be the best tool we have for the task.

I bought the exact same machine a couple of days ago. John is right. This machine is a BEAST! I've been able to tackle vast amounts of underbrush here on my property with relative ease. I say relative ease because I've unfortunately found some chunks of rebar and metal pipe laying in the underbrush that have taken a toll on my new blade. I even discovered an old axe head the hard way. Never the less I am really impressed with my mower. It has made short work out of everything I've asked it to do so far.

I've used a gravely and it has more attachments. But the power steering means wonders for the knees and back.

I just bought a place with 3.5 acres. I been weed wracking with my Husqvarna which works great but is taking forever!! I have found many hidden rocks buried in the grounds. How does this machine hold up to good sized rocks? Thanks for the info 🙏

Nice job with the video, very informative. I agree with your assessment of using the DR, I have backed myself into quite a few trees so far and we have not had ours a year yet! It is a machine that you have to "man handle", especially in woods. That being said, it is one of the best investments I have ever made! Love the camera mount system you are using and the drone footage. Thanks for the video!

I turn the throttle all the way down when using 3rd gear so it doesn't run away from me...That slows the travel speed down considerably and your not sucking down all that gas just going from point A to B....3rd wasn't intended for mowing I don't think....I also don't run full throttle after the first cut and I'm just maintaining....The only thing I don't like is all the little stumps left behind for the mower to get caught on or me to trip over....That's where the little backhoe I got last year is a godsend....Good video!

We've been using a flail mower to beat back the blackberries in our pasture, and it works great, but one hour at a crack is all I can handle before taking a well-deserved rest.

John, If I remember correctly you are a retired fireman. That coupled with the experience you have with fire mitigation begs the question: do you have any good sources of information for fire mitigation in the foothills or mountains? Might that be a good video idea for a short video in the future? Thanks for your time and keep up the great videos. John.

Why not a slasher attachment on the front of your bobcat? Will go more places and do a lot more work a hell of a lot easier! Fuel costs will be higher, but not that much you will be eating beans for a week!

The skid steer causes too much damage to the landscape plus this will go many places you couldn't take the skid steer.

The skid loader would do way to much damage to the ground. Everywhere you drive gets torn up and then goes weeds that take years to get rid of.
