I had someone recently say Carnivore isn’t sustainable because “you’ll get tired of it”. You know what I’m more tired of? I’m tired of pain, fatigue, increasing health issues, swelling, auto immune diseases, lack of confidence, and being a prisoner to sugar cravings. And lying food/pharmaceutical companies. I will happily eat boring steak the rest of my life, tvm.

Like everyone else I used to love fruit and ice cream. Roast veg, rice and pasta was just the best. But now I know better I am absolutely horrified I ever liked those things and I feel terrible that I ever ate them. Today, it is all I can do to stop myself telling people not to eat that garbage. I acknowledge that my meals are not colourful, or sweet, and that other people think I am the crazy one. But the proof is in my health and looks, anyone finding out my age has a hard time believing me due to my glowing complexion. I am never bored with a meat diet, I always look forward to it. I eat other meats and fish, but my goodness the taste of a good steak is unbeatable and it actually makes me feel joyful.

Your tastebuds will transform on carnivore as well. You don't "crave" or "miss" things anymore as your brain becomes cured of addictions. Steak doesn't become monotonous or boring. Your body knows it's getting exactly what it needs.

Ain't that the truth. I have a feeling that the people who give up or fail at carnivore really don't know what living with pain daily feels like. It's not a diet. It's a proper human lifestyle that heals what toxic food has caused in your body.

Next door neighbors are all greatly overweight, close to obese, suffer from type 2 diabetes and insists it’s not from their diet, even though they eat a lot of carbs and surgery type drinks. They are all adult kids, 5 in all and have medical issues, and the youngest is 36 years old. It’s unbelievable to me that not a single one questions their food choice. 🤷‍♂️.

I've heard Doctors say 95% of their patients don't have the will power to change their diet on their own, they would rather take the shot or a pill. I've got two customers suffering from diabetes, one is going blind and the other I just had to call the EMT's when I found him on the kitchen floor unresponsive in a diabetic coma from eating a 10 pound birthday cake on his own saying he was "celebrating" the week before.I've been telling them both about the wonderful health benefits of being carnivore and they've watched me lose 100 pounds this last year. Unfortunately they've not even attempted the basics like cutting out seed oils and processed foods.

Amen. I’ve been a personal trainer for the same amount of time and I feel your pain. Now that I am fully carnivore, having just learned the TRUTH about how healing and nutritious this way of eating is, I tell everyone about it. It’s sad how incapable people are of changing things that make them VERY sick. Even the sweet farmer I buy my meat from!!! He has Type 1 diabetes and I told him he could reverse that be simply eating only his meat!! I hope he’ll come around before the disease gets him!🙏🙏🙏

When you are on carnivore, cravings for things like alcohol should go down. If they are going up, I believe it is your body looking for carbohydrates. People do different things on carnivore to transition out of this. Some people eat a little cream cheese whenever they feel cravings. Some people eat a little butter if they feel cravings. Some people, dr. Chaffee would not recommend this, eat a bit of low carb vegetable. If you have been drinking for a while and your liver struggles to create glucose for the cells in your body that require it (most don’t but a couple cell types do) you will need to provide a small amount of carbohydrates while your body repairs your liver enough that it can perform it’s crucial functions. Once your liver is functioning properly, fat is the new carbohydrate😊

I have been doing Carnivore since the beginning of March with amazing results. When I started I was 290. I am now 230. I'm a 5'10" man. I went from a 56 inch waist size to a 42 inch waist size. My wife refuses to try to go Carnivore, although she sees how well its working for me and supports what I am doing. I try not to make a big deal about it unless someone asks. Yesterday, one of my wife's friends came over who I had not seen in probably a year or more. She was noticeably heavier than the last time I saw her. I'd say she packed on at least 50 lbs. Of course I would never say anything to anyone about their weight or their diet. I did however, pop my head in the living room just to tell the 2 of them, "hey I'm throwing a couple burgers on the grill for myself. Would you like anything?" That's when my wife tells her friend that I am doing the carnivore diet, and how well I am doing. For the most part when people find this out, not that I advertise it, they say something like "wow, that's great, you look great." Instead this woman goes "What is that? Like Keto?" So I said "kind of like keto, only I do not eat plants at all. I just eat animal products like meat and dairy." She then goes "OH MY GOD! THAT IS DISGUSTING!" So I asked "What do you eat?" She tells me she's "Mostly vegetarian, but does eat some chicken, and rarely ever eats any red meat at all because it's bad for you." I resisted every fiber of my being to set her straight. So I said "Hey, if that is what is working for your personal health, then that is great. Keep doing it. This is what works for me though. Do either of you want a burger?" That was the first time I had someone treat me like I am completely insane, when I am just doing something that has visually improved my heath so much!

I went in cold turkey. I didn't care about any side effects because feeling sick every day was bad enough - and I was on a bodybuilders diet (chicken breast, broccoli, steamed rice, oats made with water - 6 meals a day - I believed this was healthy for years 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️) plus I work out smh. Sure, my low-fat diet had me lose some weight. But I was the sickest I'd ever been in my life i thought I was going crazy and my seizures were off the charts, zero energy.. suicidal thoughts.. I felt like I was dying.. panic disorder and anxiety had me scared to leave the house.. loads more. So after my doctor tried to get me on antidepressants, I decided to use my last surviving brain cell and see if I could fix myself. That's when I found Dr. Ken Berry and the proper human diet. I was all in the very next day (I had to go shopping). I haven't looked back. This year I will be 5 years carnivore!! I've learned so much it's been unreal. God bless all of the carnivore influencers and doctors trying to bring humankind back to the proper human diet. Back to health and wellbeing. How we as humans are supposed to feel. Awesome. Thank you. The reason why people will not stick to the carnivore diet, even if they knew that it heals all their diseases, is that you have to be disciplined when doing a diet. Suffering from a disease is “easy”, as you don’t need willpower to suffer. Contrary to passive suffering, you need willpower to 1st change habits, 2nd overcome pressure from society, commercials & medical staff and 3rd resist addictions & cravings. I would estimate that 90% of people lack sufficient willpower.

Have a special meat cut that he really likes. This is the day to splurge and maybe cook with charcoal so that the meat will be more flavorful. I generally have nice surf and turf for celebrations. This is the day for ribeye and lobster or butter shrimp. I also recommend the recipes of Chris Cooking Nashville. He's highly creative and does a lot of carnivore recipes for those missing the carbs like noodles, mashed potatoes and bread. He generally uses dairy, so his recipes are a little splurge for those trying to limit their dairy. But they are great recipes for celebrations or when you are missing the really nostalgic stuff. Bella here has many great carnivore recipes that don't have dairy

Also, channels like My Zero Carb Life and Ketogenic Woman have carnivore desserts. btw, if a special event causes you to "fall off the wagon" one night and you wake up with cravings, no big deal. Cook and eat a pack of bacon 🥓🥓🥓 Bacon is life. Alternatively, salt water fast all day until a late, fatty dinner (worked for me). Sometimes you feel rude to stick to your diet, so you gotta eat what is set before you. It's great you can keep him out of trouble on his birthday!🎉 P.S. 🤗🤗🤗 for hubby! 🎉🎉🎉

I recently started Keto today as the entryway into Carnivore. I felt like cutting too much at once would discourage me...which is ironic cause normally the more restrictive it is...the easier it is for me to follow. Well at least that was before I started traveling for work....I'm literally home only two days a week and its so hard to be keto/carnivore when you do a big work shift and absolutely refuse to make food. So, I've been planning my hotels now around easily accessible food areas that fit my goals as best as possible. We will see how it goes but for now...I was able to stay keto today easily.

Carnivore 5 months now to cure my fatty liver disease. Wish I knew it came with all these awsome side effects. I've lost 66 lbs My acne is gone finally I'm 54. I sleep through the night now , no getting up 3 or 4 times to go to the restroom. My energy levels are through the roof!! My dog and I average 6-7 miles walking every day now. I used to have to use miralax every day because of meds I take. I no longer need it. I don't seem to get sunburned anymore ? I think my receding gum line is getting better? I have Hazel eyes, and I don't know if it's coincidence, but the colors they change to are much more vivid? My testosterone is up. Just got labs last week waiting for results and for them to say my cholesterol is 400 or something. Thank you for helping bring Carnivore to proples attention.. what I need to know is how I get people I know and care about on it. They see all the side effects but still won't do it, drives me nuts. If people just knew how AMAZING you feel when you start this lifestyle , I don't think many wouldn't do it. The first 2 weeks was absolutely horrible for me. Stomach cramps. I was a Coca-Cola addict for 54 years. Once the first 2 weeks were over, the cravings were gone. I do take magnesium supplements for leg cramps because I walk 6 -7 miles a day now, but that could be because 5 months ago, I had pretty much given up and barely got off the couch. I'm disabled thanks to cancer.. this way of life changed mine in such a profound way, and I thank you all for bringing it into my life

I love you both! You're saving lives, and the world!! You inspire me!!! Plants have defense chemicals, tannins, lectins, and other anti-nutrients, that keep us from breaking down, and absorbing proteins, and nutrients. A prolonged buildup of plant defense chemicals results in inflammation in our joints, and this is a form of chronic stress. The anti-nutrients in plants and vegetables, especially nightshades, cause improper hormone production, and thyroid function, leading to conditions like Hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's... This leads to depression, anxiety, mood swings, irritability, and "a short fuse", or quick to anger, and erratic behavior, even violent acts. Most crops are sprayed with glyphosate and estrogenic pesticides that run off into our water supply polluting our environment, killing many animals, especially our plant pollinating bees, needed for the cycle of life, nutritious food for our animals, and us. Girls enter into puberty sooner because of the estrogenic pesticides, and then they are given birth control so their hormones don't send them out to be impregnated sooner than they're psychologically ready, and responsibly adept to raise a child. These contaminants have the opposite effect on boys... Even making boys think they're girls! The estrogenic pesticides, hormones, and birth control contaminating our water supply contribute to the LGBTQ community, as well as reduced fertility, sickness, and disinterest in reproduction. This is part of the plan for depopulation! I recommend checking out George Orwell's Animal Farm, Agenda 21-30, and the Georgia Guidestones to get an understanding of the scope of this plan. Clean Regenerative farming, and the reduction of unclean, unsanitary, unhealthy, unsustainable, inhumane industrial agriculture could literally save us all. Our bodies only burn glucose first as a defense mechanism, not because it prefers it as fuel. We can only burn one fuel type at a time. Two fuel types trying to enter a cell at one time, damages the cell. We have to be burning fat to use and absorb our "fat soluble" vitamins correctly. Grass-fed ruminant animals provide essential fatty acids, B vitamins, especially B12, and vitamin K2 which are very important, especially for proper brain function. Other diets force you to look for typically unfriendly forms of synthetic vitamins and pre/probiotics that often do more harm than good. We don't have four chamber stomachs like cattle that are made to break down plant fiber, or even small amounts of carbs and vegetables. Carbs force our bodies to work overtime to heal damage caused by those insulin spiking, inflammation causing, cell damaging chronic stress from hidden carbs. There is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate! Only about four grams of carbohydrates are tolerable before kicking us out of ketosis, and into glucose burning, and glycogen storage. This glycogen storage is that which creates subcutaneous fat under the skin, and visceral fat around our organs, and in our arteries... clogging them causing heart attacks and strokes. When we eat sugar and carbs together with protein, it creates sticky proteins that clog our arteries. Fat can be converted by our body into ketones, the safest, most efficient fuel for our body, and the brain's preferred fuel type. Viruses like covid, and bad bacteria such as candida, and yeast prefer glucose, and do not survive on ketones, but we thrive on ketones. Cognitive and regenerative brain functions increase dramatically while running on ketones. Carnivore is a fasting mimicking diet. We are able to eat one nutrient-dense meal a day, leaving a long fasting window. Fasting activates autophagy! We are able to maintain autophagy in a low insulin, low glycemic state. Autophagy is our body's primary repair function! A process through which the mitochondria that make up our cells are broken down, flushed out, repaired, and replaced, creating new healthy vibrant cells. Autophagy heals us at a cellular level, cleaning out our bodies, and restoring health! We get all of our dietary nutrients from healthy grass-fed ruminant animals in higher more bioavailable levels than in any other food on the planet! That's because this one food is what we ate during our evolution and it transformed our minds into the brilliant biological machines that they are today. This allows us to find our way out of the fog and find happiness! One cannot tell that they have been living in a fog until they find their way out!! Sugar, and carbohydrates fog the mind... Along with the fluoride, and other chemicals they add to our food, and water supply. Think of glucose like rocket fuel that burns fast and erratic causing damage along the way. Fat is a slow steady burning fuel... Grass-fed fats like tallow, ghee, and butter, not polyunsaturated seed, soy, or canola oils that were created to lubricate farm equipment, and highly processed, unrecognized by our body... unable to perform the same function, oxidized, rancid, free radical causing, and proven carcinogenic. When we consume more carbohydrates than our body can store or burn off, excess glucose eventually gets to our brain... When glucose gets through the blood brain barrier, bad bacteria follow... Wreaking havoc everywhere they go, like rambunctious children hyped up on sugar seeking out more and more glucose, and they don't care what destruction they cause while rooting around in our brain. This is the likely cause of most neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, Dementia, and Alzheimer's. Bad Bacteria like that which are derived from starchy russet potatoes, thrive in our guts, destroying our good gut bacteria, and microbiome. Many vegetables have too many carbohydrates, and contain the same lectins, or anti-nutrients found in all plants in varying amounts. We do not have four chamber stomachs like ruminant animals capable of breaking down plant matter, filtering out plant defense chemicals, anti-nutrients, and even some environmental toxins. That is why we have to take prebiotics, and probiotics to break plant matter. Even when broken down, less than 5% of the nutrients in plants are bioavailable to us, so along with the anti-nutrients, and nutrient loss caused by plants, supplementation is necessary. Synthetic supplements like synthetic vitamin C known as abscorbic acid, and cyanocobalamin that breaks down as cyanide in our blood become problematic, as this is just more molecularly incomplete lab-created junk our body does not recognize. Over 90% of the vitamins on store shelves fall in this category. The process of plant breakdown produces methane, and causes intestinal bloat that results in tears in the stomach lining commonly referred to as leaky gut, or increased intestinal permeability that leads to vitamin C loss, and thereby other nutrient deficiencies. Vitamin C is responsible for directing nutrients where to go throughout the body among other functions. Different people with different evolutionary backgrounds will have different adaptations, and tolerances to plant defense chemicals, and that's why sensitivities vary so greatly. Sugar, and carbohydrates, including those found in fruits, and natural sweeteners like honey still create too high of an insulin spike to be considered healthy. This will kick us out of the regenerative healing process of autophagy. That said, we have adapted to consume small amounts of carbohydrates in low glycemic fruits, or berries that are in season, local, and unadulterated unlike GMO products hydroponically grown without nutrient dence soil, void of nutrition, bred to be to sweet, seedless, and resistant to pesticides, so they can douse them in more pesticides. Active people, and those with high metabolisms are able to burn small amounts of glucose more easily without excessive damage through exercise, but in my opinion this should only be allowed occasionally, if at all because it is still damaging to cells. Bodybuilders that burn high amounts of glucose to build muscle have a statistically higher chance to encounter problems, and tend to die early of severe dehydration, kidney failure, cardiac arrhythmia, heart attacks, strokes, and sudden death. Sugar and carbs can also reactivate our hunger signals earlier than necessary encouraging our bodies to make insulin that tells our bodies to store more fat. Evolutionarily, when we would consume fruits, it was a way of signaling our body that food was becoming sparse, and winter was upon us, and therefore we needed to store fat for the winter so we did not starve when we ran out of food. The extra insulin that our body produced when consuming carbohydrates in fruits and vegetables told our bodies to store more fat for the winter. Not a lot of these carbohydrates were available often and so our bodies were able to easily repair from them during times of fasting. Carnivore is a fasting mimicking diet. A fairly strict carnivore diet will allow us to maintain autophagy, or a non-inflamed state, capable of healing damage when it occurs, as well as allowing us to stay in a fat burning state capable of absorbing "fat soluble" vitamins, and allowing our brains to run on ketones converted from fat... Our proper fuel! Proper fuel without added anti-nutrients, and excessive glucose, can unlock the power of our pineal gland, allowing us to perceive truth, know right from wrong, and allow our heart to guide us through life, and make connections we never knew possible! Life changing epiphanies come to the awakened mind often!! If you're not religious or spiritual, call it the way to peace, happiness, and clarity of mind. This is the way to "The Kingdom of God Within", and "Christ consciousness" or Awakening and Enlightenment!!

It's not complicated. When you have been a carnivore as long as I have you just don't want anything other than meat. The older you get the more experiences you have. I have known several people who remained healthy into their 90's before dying and none of them were carnivores. However they all ate some meat and none lived on ultraprocessed foods. Their lifestyle was lower stress and they has networks of friends and family. I believe that the carnivore diet is best for someone who wants a hard reset on their life. Even though my vegan friends taunt me I can compare my health to theirs and show that meat is not as bad as they think. Personally I think of humans as opportunists that will eat whatever they can find. If meat is not available we can survive on plants. Fermenting and cooking separates us from regular animals. Only humans can cook food or have external fermentation. Instead of having to waste energy fighting the elements we can build homes for ourselves. Instead of wasting time and energy fermenting foods internally we can use our brains to solve problems. We are plant based even if we are carnivores.

Your carnivore story is unique. Most people seek out this way of eating because they have health issues. However, you were young and not in really bad health. It's good meat still helped you though. I'm curious if you eat any plants. Sometimes I include cooked onion and low oxalate seasonings likes herbs and white pepper. I have to avoid high oxalates. I want to make a cream of chicken gelatin chicken salad sometime too. The only plant ingredients are a few herbs. I guess that's more keto than carnivore. I hope small amount of plants won't be problematic. I do agree with Dr Chaffee that plants are not completely harmless.
@chargermopar
@chargermopar Ай бұрын
@@jes4026 I will eat some fruit from my yard but only when I cannot afford enough meat to be satisfied. Also I have experimented with fermented cabbage and banana flowers. I cannot eat raw onions but have occasionally added them to a hamburger when fermented. What I am 100 percent against is juicing, that is unnatural and toxic. I do not like the taste of herbs so I do not spice my meats. There have been periods in my life that all I ate was beef and water but being poor I will eat whatever meat I can find. Now I am a believer that plants can help you live longer if you grow them in a garden. Being exposed to dirt, plants and sunlight seems better than being in an artificial indoor environment.

@MiclnOKC Ай бұрын
I agree 100% with all of this. While I believe you can be carnivore and stay completely healthy, plenty of people eat a whole food diet consisting of meat, fruits and vegetables and are still very healthy and live long lives. My lifestyle will never not include a small amount of plants, but I do eat a meat heavy diet. That has been the case for all of humankind. Opportunistic eating is how our species has survived. Meat is ideal, but if meat isn't available, plants are a means of survival. Our species has gotten sick from ultra processed frankenfood, so if we could get back to the real deal, humans could heal themselves as a species. But at this point it would take an apocalypse and having to go back to living off the land, hunting and foraging for that to happen. We are too far gone into overconsumption, food that isn't food and a corrupt system that encourages more of the same.
@jes4026
@jes4026 Ай бұрын
@@chargermopar I'm glad you can eat foods from your yard and you've figured out what works for you. It's interesting that you are into fermenting. I'm guessing the taste might be milder with fermented onions. Raw onions are too strong for me too. I can't consume a lot of salt but, I read it's possible to make low salt fermented cabbage. Maybe onions can be low salt fermented too? I only a bit of herbs on chicken, once in awhile. Because myself and my child have so many oxalate crystals inside us we've got to stick to low oxalate diet. It seems my mom also needs that because yesterday she got her first large stinging, itchy oxalate rash. Maybe when I move, I can grow some low oxalate foods. Take care and enjoy your garden.

I came to the carnivore diet or should I say lifestyle on the 15th of march this year and i have to say it wasn’t easy because i gave up 8 cups of coffee on the same day so the headaches were rather tough but i stayed with it i didn’t even touch any pain medication which i lived on every day from the age of 12 due to migraines and from 25 with a back injury i am now 63 years of age and finally head ache free and my back has been healing to the point i can stand for longer than 20 minutes with no burning down my legs or lower back pain , last year i had a second bout of pericarditis and coming out of the hospital with a bag full of medication which i stopped taking pretty quickly and now i am completely drug free , alcohol free,caffeine free, sugar free and plant based food free i have also lost 26 kilos starting at 123kilos and this morning I weighed in at 97 kilos but weight loss is a happy surprise it’s the ability to walk 5 kilometres every morning in under an hour that makes me the happiest,feeling healthier than i have ever felt is the greatest part of it all and living in Australia the beef quality is awesome . So i say to any one contemplating this life style try it for a committed 90 days and if it doesn’t do anything for you you have only lost 90 days .

I don't believe in evolution, but I do believe the bible teaches a carnivore in the sense that you would be eating more meat than plants and vegetables. That's why the planting was done in the spring, and crops were harvested in the fall. The people didn't have access to them all year. I do try my best to stay away from everything except animal based cheeses, butter, cream, egg, and pork rinds, with the occasional ice cream (Rebel only).

Could someone please speak on the significance of getting their stomach acids and bile production up to properly digest the animal protein as well as an effective strategy in doing so?? I have no issues with digesting animal fats or cartilage and bones in gelatin/collagen form; muscle meat is another story.
