One thing I observed, when people leave this church we who remained, go in defensive mode-wrong. Truth need no defensive. Also, when people leave and need to justify their actions and appease their smeared consciences, stop at nothing to destroy faith and confidence in the scriptures. No my dear, not the 10 commandments under the old covenant. It's referring to the commandments Christ's gave to the believers to follow. The Greek bible will show you this. The English word commandment used when they were translating is not referring to 10 commandments including Sabbath. Read the sermon on the mount in Mathew as that shows you how to follow Jesus under the new Covenant. Exodus 20 is NOT for you.

To love the Lord your God with a your heart AND your neighbor--the two great Commandments are basic a quick summary of the Ten Commandments. 4 Commandments about our relationship to God and 6 Commandments about our relation to one another. When we keep the Commandments, we do so in the Spirit of Christ. Jesus actually made the law more forceful than the Pharisees.

It is incorrect to say the Old Covenant is still in effect for Christians today. Please carefully read Hebrews chapters 8 and 9 believers. These chapters explicitly show you the difference between the 2 covenants, why the new one is superior, and point to the abolition of the Old Covenant . "But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises. For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another".(Hebrews 8 verses 6 and 7). And in verse 13 "By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear." Hop over to 2 Corinthians 3 where the apostle Paul again shows the difference between the 2 covenants: The Old Covenant is referred to as "the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone", "the ministry that brought condemnation" and also transitory (verse 7). The New Covenant is compared to this by Paul: "will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!" ( verses 8 and 9). By the way, the 10 commandments were the core of the old covenant . "He declared to you his covenant, the Ten Commandments, which he commanded you to follow and then wrote them on two stone tablets". ( Deuteronomy 4 v 13). So the abolition of the Old Covenant has serious implications for the sabbath keeping, which was part of the Old Covenant.

Well, Dr. Clinton Baldwin was a professor at the SDA seminary. He holds his Ph.D. in Higher Critical Studies. His beliefs concerning key doctrines of the Bible are questionable. Higher Criticism as well as lower Criticism both undermines the Bible. Their origins are Roman Catholic. Moreover, He could not answer most of my questions in Bible Ancestry class along with another of my colleague. It reached a point wherein he did not acknowledge my hand when raised to ask a question because he knew I knew my stuff. Now, He holds that Jesus is the Sabbath and the 7th Day Sabbath is irrelevant. Quite questionable.

Nothing is wrong with scrutinizing the doctrins of the church. What I disagree with is the lack of substantiated evidence that both of you are presenting. If I am asked, are you saved? My answer would be, with the grace, mercy, love of God, and my sincere commitment to His will, I am saved. However, I must not become complacent as Ellen G. White stated. Paul says, "I put my body under subjection lest by any means I become a castway. Paul here is trying not to become complacent. Again, Sis. White addressing the amalgamation of humans and animals, she was not saying that there was a new species. She was saying that the results of such practice are seen in the effects of this sin in the disturbance of nature and the animalistic behavior of some people. Guys, it is time you stopped this. Remember, the state of this world being affected by sin is not because of the sin of animals but humans.

For a church to be the True Remnant Church, They get Really angry and bitter. They tell other members to disassociate themselves from you. I have been going to the Seventh Day Adventist Church since 2008 and I read Ellen G White books. I felt more pressured. It was too much about her and not much of Jesus Christ. I was homeless for nearly 2 years and my church I attended NEVER helped me. I was returning my Tithes and Offerings, and I lived in a woman shelter for 2 years. Adventism didn't do anything for me. If you are not high colored and can sing they don't look at you. I suffered a lot in the Adventist Church. So if this Church is the True Church. Why are they so Intimidated when members eyes 👀 are OPENED. Stay Bless

The weekly Sabbath cannot be a shadow. Two reasons: 1. It was given during the week of creation. It was established BEFORE sin. "Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all there hosts. "Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. "FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH, THE SEA AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM, AND RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY; THEREFORE THE LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY AND MADE IT HOLY." --- Exodus 20:8-11. There are dozens of other passages that can go in further to explain from both the old and new testaments. So... in conclusion... 1. The Sabbath is NOT a ceremonial law. 2. The Sabbath was NOT given because of sin. 3. The Sabbath is a MEMORIAL of creation and a sign of allegiance to the true living God and creator of the universe. 4. The Sabbath was NEVER a shadow. While there are 7 other types of sabbaths aside from the weekly sabbath, such as the new moon sabbath, the jubilee sabbath, and several yearly sabbaths that fell on any day of a given week, but the weekly Sabbath is separate from those sabbaths. 5. The weekly Sabbath is in the 10 Commandments. The 10 Commandments are not types and shadows. We are STILL required to love the LORD our God with all our hearts and our neighbor. These two great Commandments ARE A QUICK SUMMARY OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. God did NOT come to change the 10 Commandments. Anyone and I mean ANYONE, no matter how many PHD's and other letters they have behind their names. NO ONE can change what God has written with His own finger. Never ever forget. It is Satan who hates God's law and wants worship. That's why he has His own day as well.

Secondly, Read Hebrew8 and 9 which show you that the old covenant has passed which compulsory Sabbath keeping was a part of for Jews. back then. Please ask yourself if you were a slave in Egypt. The children of Israel were to keep Sabbath specifically because God delivered them from slavery. This command was not given to any one else under the New Covenant. Also read the context of Ezekiel 20, especially 9 to 11. "But for the sake of my name, I brought them out of Egypt. I did it to keep my name from being profaned in the eyes of the nations among whom they lived and in whose sight I had revealed myself to the Israelites. Therefore I led them out of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. I gave them my decrees and made known to them my laws, by which the person who obeys them will live. 12 Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the Lord made them holy." Look at who God was speaking to and who the sabbath was given as a sign between. Also note why this Sabbath sign was given. Remember laws in the bible were given under different covenants. You cannot indiscriminately pull laws from a covenant not applied to you. The 10 commandments are NOT for us today, We do 'not kill, steal and commit adultery, not because we are obligated to the 10 commandments under the old covenant, but because Jesus taught against them in the New Covenant. For example, thou shall not kill in Exodus 20 actually meant you were not to kill your fellow Israelites without cause. If you continue reading into chapter 21, you will see that the ancient Israelites were allowed to kill in some instances. "Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death." Exodus 21 v 17. " Anyone who kidnaps another and either sells him or still has him when he is caught must be put to death". Exodus 21 v 16. These were all one package of laws given to the Israelites. They did not divide them into ceremonial and moral. That's a construct imposed by the church to protect Sabbath keeping. If you broke the Sabbath, you were to be put to death. Numbers 15 v 32 to 36. The man was stoned for gathering wood on the Sabbath as God commanded them to do. So if you say Sabbath command applies to the modern Christian, you must stone those who don't keep it as was required back them. The chapters were not divided in the original manuscripts. What new heavens and earth God is talking about here, when He returns to earth the third time where all things will be new.. and thus we shall worship God on His sabbath. Matthew 5:17-18 KJV [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Jesus stated that He didn’t come to destroy the law but to fulfill it. Fulfil means to carry out or do. Acts 17:2 KJV [2] And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Paul a disciple of Jesus after Jesus died still kept the sabbath. Which means the Sabbath was kept by Jesus disciple Acts 13:42 KJV [42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. The gentiles who are not Jews kept the sabbath also. Revelation 1:10 KJV [10] I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, What day John was referring to when he said he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day? The Lord’s day is the sabbath day. 1 John 2:4-7 KJV [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. [6] He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. [7] Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. No new commandments John write but one that was heard from the very beginning, Gods commandments

@@sophiasabazan6375 Those examples are not commands. Jesus was a Jew and he was in a Jewish environment where it was the custom to worship on the Sabbath. The church had not yet started. So he would behave like a Jew. In Mathew 8 he sent the man healed from leprosy to go pay the temple tax Moses commanded. So becsuse Jesus did this, does this mean going to temple to offer that is a command for Christians today? No! That was part of everyday Jesus society. Jesus was circumcised at birth and animal sacrifices offered to mark the occasion in Luke 2. Is this a command for Christians today because this happened to Jesus? Context is very important when interpreting scripture. The Sabbath is not a command in the New Testament, wven though Gentiles worshipped on it too at the time. That was the norm then, not a command, as the Sabbath was a part of the Old Covenant which the New Testament believer is NOT under. In Acts 2, do you notice how the believers were gathering for worship every day? Under the New Covenant Christians are not bound by Sabbath keeping. It's not a critical part of the gospel. Sabbath keeping is a choice. Days do not mattter.

@@charnelallan7159 I'd love for you to do an indept study on what went on in the earthly sanctuary... and by the way, I'm not a bible student or biblical scholar, just someone who relies on the Holy Spirit's leadings. This is why I know I'm in the right church. Please do a study on what went on in the earthly sanctuary.. this might give you a better understanding of the Heavenly sanctuary and the investigative judgement ( Day of atonement) which we are presently in. It just might save your soul
