This is such an important conversation. I respect Dr. West and Dr. Molina for what they are accomplishing. They want votes but winning is not the necessary goal. Politics has become a money ball event which is great to cease power but not very efficient to choose the best candidate. What they are demonstrating is what a true candidate should be like. Lies tend to get votes But what happens after? a platform should inform and by example they are showing us what a voter should look for, asking and request for the common good. I really enjoyed this conversation, there’s so much that I agreed with. I believe the key is for people to organize along class lines rather than race. That was happening in 2013 with the Occupy Wall-street movement. That was such a threat to the elite that they suddenly had to turn up the rhetoric on race and create a distraction and preserve their safety. As much as I agree with Dr West and Mrs Abdullah I believe we are still a long way off from breaking the stranglehold the 2 parties have on the political system today. It’s a great goal to get rid of the duopoly but It’s realistically not going to happen in the next 8 months. I think the best thing that Black people can do in striving to reach that goal is to start by breaking the strangle hold of the democrat party on Black people. What’s unique about this upcoming election is that we know what a Trump presidency looks like and what a Biden presidency looks like and to me Trump looks better by a long shot. We heard all the fear-mongering before and he did a better job in 4 years while under constant attack from establishment Democrats and Republicans who worked everyday to undermine his presidency. If we as a people aren’t able to divorce the democrats and show the world that we are fluid in our support we’ll continue to be taken advantage of period.

One can simplify the entire Trump discussion with this key point: Trump based his campaign on the idea of imprisoning numerous individuals. He vocally expressed his desire to imprison Obama, Hillary (“Lock her up!”), Pelosi, AOC, the Central Park Five, and many others. Therefore, while it may be argued that Trump is facing prosecution for actions that others commonly engage in, this argument is immaterial. The essential truth is that some individuals do face legal consequences for their wrongdoings, and Trump exemplifies the type of person who should be held accountable by the justice system. No black leader endorse Trump. They mince words and discuss how bad Biden is but like the host of this show they will not vote for him. More blacks are public about that fact.
