You never want to be friends with people who copy you, it generally stems from envy. You can't be friends with people who want to be you. In my opinion atleast.

I have a friend with whom m trying to maintain a distance she copies everything from the way I talk, the word I use n the clothes I wear and then acts as if it's her own way infront me and my friend circle it sometimes upset me and very much annoys me.

I'm happy to give support, encouragement, etc... but there's only so much a person can do and sometimes giving them these things is not enough bc it's THEIR responsibility (not mine) to work on their self-esteem. It's a red flag when they take the positive you give them and use it to put you down indirectly or get an ego from it...

I've been tying to hide my drawings and anime from my friend. She recently found out about anime... I don't really mind that, but she starts acting like she knows everything about it. Also when I drew in a certain style she copied me... Like I said don't, I don't really mind. I said I wanted to travel the world and become an interior designer, because I have a passion and a vision for it... She said the same thing except the only reason she wanted to be a interior designer was because she had a book... 😤 okay sorry to bore u with my rant 😂😂😂

I have it the same way with a person… I think it’ll be very awkward to bring up to her because it was literally 3 YEARS AGO and she thought I was famous or something but I really wasn’t XDD And she always tried to copy my drawings- this one time she took my drawing out and showed it to everyone on the bus and I was like: wth And I’m still friends with her… now she knows that I used to play cello, she’s gonna play cello too, cello and drums.. I just wish I said something sooner I know that this comment I’m replying to was 6 years ago and probably don’t have this problem anymore but it’s nice to hear that I’m not the only one dealing with this situation (of course)

haha men do this to trust me its funny but scary. Just know if they Copy you there's something worth copying. it gets weirder and uncomfetable when their girlfriends know they imitating you. so they distance themselves to make it look like they not copying you. you guys have hit the nail on the head it's jealousy.

My copy cat friend copied my house decor not once but twice it was everything single thing down to detail, my clothes she would go to the shop and buy just what I told her I was getting and ring me a day later to tell me what she had brought, that I told her I was buying, even saying my sayings to my face she just didn’t care that she was upsetting me and pushing me over the edge, when I told her she said she felt the same, I said why I’ve not done the things you have done to me she twisted it I had to get rid of the friendship because I was devastated 3yrs on and she tells people I think I’m better than everyone else it’s ridiculous because I’m not that way,

Everyone is doing a rant, so I will to. Alright, exactly a week ago, I started a blog. (mind you, I had one before but I deleted it) And, three days after one of my best friends started a blog too. I didn't like that, but I also didn't say anything. That day, I was writing a post in school & she was too. When I posted mine, I looked around to see what everyone else was up to. And that's when I saw it-my best friend posted on the same topic as me. At first I saw a short post, but when I came back to it, she added a sentence that was exactly the same as mine! And then, she accused me of copying her, even though mine was posted earlier than hers. The copying still goes on and she thinks that she's better than me, that she's original, & is still thinking I'm copying her! I don't know what to do.

I think you should block her from any app or ignore her. Tell an adult about it because some kids would snitch. In class or any class you could ask a teacher for a different seating arrangement. I know this is like 2 years old but I hope this girl isn't bothering you!

Sure! But if she thinks she's better than me and thinks her ideas are original and looks down on me, what's the point of talking to her if i know the answer is gonna she giving me some dirty look like " please! I'm not copying you! Don't flatter yourself!" What should i do? And it's not like i can cut her off of my life, she's a good friend of my brother's and my mom and dad and everyone else. Any advice??? You need to be able to identify exactly what she has copied from you in order to speak to her.Make a list and then speak with her. Speak with your family too about what bothers you concerning this friend cause its your family and they may be supportive of your decision to speak with her. If she doesn't listen you can then decide what you want to do from there.

If she still copies you, you can decide whether to cut her off or to give her another chance. However from my opinion if you tell someone what they are doing is hurting you and they still persist in doing the action that is causing you pain or annoyance, and they are doing it regardless of how you feel, that is not a friend and i would cut them off.

The thing about my copycat friend is my cousin. I started wearing headband no she did, I started wearing watches and she did, she copy's my hair style, and the last straw that I swear I'm going to scream at her about is that I've been wearing converse since 2 grade and now she is buying the same pair I wear and I got a pair a nikes and I showed them to her and the next day she went out and bought them. I'm in middle school so if we are wearing the same shoes in the same class right next to each other, it's just weird and my cousin and I will get made fun of but honestly I don't care but then my cousin goes home and cries about it but it's her fault

Heaven Marie I have the same problem with my best friend. We've known each other for about 4 years now but we're really close. I love her to death but she's copying everything about me. I love to draw and my parents bought me a wacom art tablet two years ago. She bought the exact same tablet two months later. Ive been wearing leather jackets almost every day since the 3rd grade. She just bought two and is now saying it's "her style" and every one knows its hers (which it is not). I watch an anime called fairy tail and obsess over the characters Juvia and natsu. She watched 6 episodes about a month ago and went out and bought the same poster as me and I cant even talk about natsu without her saying "that's my favorite character, stick with juvia." I had a small crush on a guy named Alex and she just so happens to be obsessed with a book character named Alex fierro. Alex asked me out on December 1st, which she told me that she liked him AFTER I started dating him. She said that she didn't realize she liked him until afterwards. My aunt bought me a new piano for Christmas this year. I sent her a playlist of new songs to learn and she gave me advice on which to pick. Only two hours ago she told me that she is going to start taking piano lessons and learn the exact song I am. I have decided to pursue a career in translation and do art commissions just until I get enough money to support myself. Wanna know what she just decided to do? You guessed it, be a translator. I understand her being into the same stuff I am, and that's great when its not 24/7. I can't even have my own thing without her doing it too. I don't want to ruin our friendship but its become an every day thing. I just want to have my own thing and its become borderline obsessive of her.

I had Socalles friends copy me at college. I'm a music major and they would copy songs I chose copy clothes. I wear places I go gym I go to and try to steal my crush and copy my ideas so he'd like her more and saying I'm fat and ugly And weird. I blocked her I don't need such negativity
