But without Proof, who was already an established name, convincing people to take this white boy seriously he wouldn't have been given the chance to be heard. And then Dre, one of the most successful Hip Hop producers of the time, put everything on the line to back Em and convince mainstream Hip Hop to listen to him. There is a reason that Em honors those two men every chance he gets.
