Haaaaa I knew you were going to comment about the chorus beat not changing lol. There's a little static sound that gets thrown in, but other than that, Dre's beats are notorious for being the same throughout, and or sounding the same for the first 3 bars with a change-up in the last bar, then repeating that 3/1 pattern throughout. Usually the riffs are so good that no one notices buuuuut I study this stuff so I always notice (go back and listen to "Forgot About Dre," same type of thing)

haha not only did Suge pull the 2000 Chronic move, he even had rappers on the album that were trying to replicate Snoop and Dre's style and catalog. best example is the 1998 Snoop Dogg album "Top Dogg" has a song "Snoopafella", which in itself is a cover of the 1987 Dana Dane single, "Cinderfella". and on the Chronic 2000 album there's a song called "Top Dogg Cinderfella" by a rapper named "Top Dogg". there's even a video of you want to see a knock off Snoop. (i think it's on KZbin, I'm not 100% sure; i only actually saw it in real life back in the day) anyhow, it was all a pretty crazy time .

Scott Storch is a major producer, and he is behind the piano. Love Dr. Dre, but he has always taken credit for records that he has barely touched. He puts the cherry on top, in other words. Daz produced a lot for Death Row as well. This song is Dr. Dre's biggest hit, and it has a feature guest, written by Jay-Z and barely produced by Dre.
@KCBAYBOI Жыл бұрын
Scott himself said he did the piano riff and credit Dre and gave him the credit he deserves, always fans trying to discredit, Dre track record speaks for itself with and without whomever gets brought up as a co-producer.
@patrickcsizmadi2276 Жыл бұрын
@KCBayBoi not discrediting him at all. I view him more as a conductor, putting it all together at the end. He brings it out of artists and talent. Problem is that he barely acknowledges the people that co produce with him, who do majority of the beats.
@ABoomerReacts Жыл бұрын
This is so relevant to me now because I just filmed my reaction to Got My Mind Made Up by Tupac and the bio I read talks about this exact thing.
@KCBAYBOI Жыл бұрын
@Patrick Csizmadi that's no true either, ever since Dj Yella it has always said who the co producer has been , Mel Man, Mike Eliz... Yes, he spice things up for others beats, Dre didn't have a team in the NWA Wrecking crew era.and that music is timeless, this didn't start until Daz feelings got hurt in the Death Row era
@patrickcsizmadi2276 Жыл бұрын
@KCBayBoi yes, they are credited if u look up the credits. If you ask the majority of the people, they will say its a Dr.Dre beat. In the earlier 2000s people also thought those were his raps till the ghostwriting came to forefront. I'm not taking away Dr.Dre's success or credibility as an executive producer. As a beat maker, he definitely has help. He is no Swizz Beats or Timbaland as far as making beats. Does he engineer them better and make them sound like classics... 100%.
