I would suggest looking into a condition called “hidradenitis suppertiva”, as I used to suffer with the condition. I also suggest buying “hibiclens” & applying it before each shower before washing it off, I’ve found that it at least stops boils from growing further. I wish you the best🫶🏽

You should really go to the doctor and have him/her lance it and do a test on it. I had it once for 4 months and took antibiotics. They would go away and 2 weeks after I finished the medication it would come back. I finally went to another doctor and found out it was a staph infection. You have to take oral antibiotics and an antibiotic cream that you put in your nose several times a day. After this, I finally got rid of it. The form of staph I had was called MRSA ( can be deadly).
@taurusrae7630 Жыл бұрын
It can also be other conditions. If you have pre-diabetes it can cause boils as the blood sugar fuels the infections. Please, go to a doctor. Many conditions can lead to life altering situations the longer they go on untreated. Love yourself and go.
@Teresa-L.202411 ай бұрын
You need to see a specialist dermatologist. HS is an autoimmune condition. Getting you on a Biologic medicine can work wonders. Left untreated HS gets progressively worse leading to huge open sores. Aldrin's case was quite mild; it can get much, much worse.

I had SO many boils growing up, for like two years or so. I remember a really bad one on my knee that was really big and painful. I could barely walk because bending my knee would make it hurt. It popped when I was in the car traveling to my uncle's house and then when I arrived there my mom took me to the shower, let some warm water run on top of it for a while and then she SQUEEZED the hell out of it until a huge, hard, dark yellow ball of pus came flying out followed by a lot of blood. It hurt so bad but I felt so much better instantly. I still have a scar on my knee from it even though I had it over a decade ago. That was one of the worst ones, but I also had a really bad one on my right armpit (I couldn't put my arm down), between my breasts (right where my bra strap would go), on my bum (which made it horrible to sit down on my desk during classes), on my neck (I couldn't turn my head, I had to turn my whole body to look at a different direction), under my thighs (also uncomfortable to sit), so many places. Turns out I had a weak immune system, which made it easy for bacteria to create big infections in my follicles. Thankfully I went through a treatment that made my immune system stronger and I never struggled with boils again.

How did his GP not know what it was? I could have said the exact name, when Dr Emma said it I thought yeagph, that's what I was thinking of. I think so often now we see a GP who doesn't know what it is, but instead of sending us to others, out patients and consultants they give us some medication to shut us up. Which, usually doesn't work, because it's not right for the conditions we have. I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall sometimes

I had one of these boils appear under my left armpit a couple years ago. ONE. At first, I attempted to treat it myself. It was shaped like a small hen egg. In the center was a small, reddish yellow "head" from which a light whitish liquid would leak. I tried warm compresses to get it to drain and ibuprofen for the swelling and pain. I ended up in the ER of my local hospital at around 1am on a Sunday morning. The doctor lanced it, drained it, packed it with gauze and put me on a morphine and phenergan and antibiotic drip. The pain was almost unbearable. I cannot imagine experiencing this as a chronic condition.

This patient is SO LUCKY to have a physician who is trained in HS. It took me until I was age 60 to find a physician who even knew what this condition was. I too have HS, stage one. This is an AUTO-INFLAMMATORY condition. These lesions flare up and are very painful and sore. Then they open and drain but prior to that the pressure is unbearable. I control mine through diet and lifestyle. I will not take steroids or other drugs for a variety of reasons - due to my other health issues. In my family there is a genetic connection my father had this,. I have HS and one of my two sons have this (plus brothers and nephews.) My only relief is going to Urgent Care for a lancing to open and drain them and my diet and lifestyle habits. AVOID SUGAR, AVOID CARBS, AVOID NIGHTSHADES as all the mentioned items are inflammatory.

I've been trying to figure out what this boil on my right side inner thigh is. I tried drying it out and it hurt way worse. I tried making the boil come to a head but it dried out so much that it scabbed, and stung becoming super sensitive. It got swollen and stung everytime I moved, hitting the elastic of my panties. I have had it opened once before and it healed but it came back several times since then. It is only one boil but it is beyond annoying. I will start doing a castor oil pack over it twice a day until it disappears.

I used to get boils on my legs, under my arms and i was using one of those body scrubber puffs. And i couldn't get rid of the boils UNTIL i realized it was the body puff i was using. All it was doing was spreading them because they are caused by the bacteria staphylococcus aureus. So i started using a washcloth instead and the boils stopped. I haven't had another one since. So i threw the puff away and refuse to use them anymore. Boiled are caused by an infection and it is contagious and starts in a hair follicle or oil gland. Boils can affect any area of your body where you have hair or where running can occur, they usually form in places you sweat.
@D_Ella126910 ай бұрын
HS is autoinflammatory, much different than what you're describing. The primary disease process in HS is inflammation, not infection. Infection of the lesions in HS is usually secondary to, or a by-product of, the lesions being present and/or open for long periods of time. As an example, I have lesions that have been open & draining for more than 5yrs. When we are prescribed antibiotics for HS, it's usually for their anti-inflammatory properties, not their bacteria-killing properties. I use to ask my providers to culture my lesions before I was diagnosed because I just knew these were infections. I stayed frustrated because results never showed infection. Being diagnosed was a relief because I was able to research it & finally understand wth was going on. Hope this provides some clarification.
