Dr Feelgood (with Wilco Johnson) burst onto the British rock scene in 1975 with incendiary live performances and Wilco's manic guitar style, bringing about a sea-change (pre-Pistols) to remove fatuous triple-album Spinal Tap-era bands and replace pretentious bloated rock with raw back-to-basics hi-energy music. Dr Feelgood's only hit single from 1979 featured Wlico Johnson replacement Gypie Mayo on guitar and a typically snarling Lee Brilleaux vocal. RIP Wilco Johnson, Lee Brilleaux and Gypie Mayo.
