Pastor Frank Ray is a respected preacher. However, this preaching on the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit is different from a lot of teachings. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. This passage is often brought up by those who believe you cannot lose our salvation. In this scripture this is not what sealed means. When the Bible says Jesus tomb was sealed so that no one would open it. We might think that someone came and soldered a bead around it or something of this nature so no one could move it . A seal was a signet which means that they put in this case a pilot's seal on the tomb. It wasn't impossible to open because no one was authorized to open it. The seal signifies authority has decreed something. What this seal represents is authenticity - when you get saved He puts a seal on you which means you have His mark which is evidence we are his. The seal does not mean we are trapped into something. It means we genuinely his. Paul is not talking about permanence. If we do not abide in the vine and continue to follow the Lord. Then we are not His. That is I'm sure it's hard to do. . . But we are eternally secure as long as we stay in God. Another thing I'd like to add. Is women do speak in tongues. Pastor Ray's teaching on this subject matter is incorrect. May the Lord bless you! Study the bible and pray earnestly and the Holy One will reveal His word to you.

What can you do receive salvation and what can you do to lose it? All that the father gives me I shall lose none. So you’re saying what Jesus said is a lie. Paul said those that left were never with us. Saved means to be preserved and kept through a period of time. If GOD doesn’t predestined anyone to heaven all would go to hell. His seal is a promise. It’s grace because we wouldn’t know him and its mercy before we could even mess it up. We’re elected unto obedience Peter said but it’s not us doing the work it’s Christ that’s gives us both will and to do if his good pleasure. He’s preaching it right you’re just thinking what you think because you feel you can lose your salvation and no where in the Bible does it say you can.

@@sjones3191 Bless you! That is great. Powerful testimony. I am baptized in the Holy Spirit. I do speak in tongues. I believe do not believe you will always speak in tongues as a sign of the Holy Spirit. You can if that's how your taught. But not every one is going to speak in tongues. The best life to live is a self controlled one. Allowing the Holy Ghost to lead and guide you. I am glad you are baptized in the Holy Ghost. He gives us power to overcome sin. You have that power. This allows you to activate the fruit of the spirit in Galatians which is really important. Please be blessed and I enjoyed your post on this subject. Keep loving God and his people. Do not be one of the ones the Apostle Paul spoke of. In the last days there shall be a great falling away, or one of apostasy or apostate. The last days began when Jesus died on the cross! @@Buildyourinheritance St. John 10 No man can pluck me out of his hand - Jesus is talking about his sheep. Jesus says in verse 27 my sheep hear my voice I know them & they follow me & I give them eternal life & they will not perish nor will anyone snatch them out of my hand. Jesus is talking about the sheep of his hand which is a biblical expression. What this scripture is referencing or referring to is shepherds who have handled their sheep. So if we are in Christ care/God's care no one can snatch us from his hand. Going back to verse 27 which reiterates that my sheep hear my voice & they follow me. So if a person is hearing Christ's voice & following him then he/she is one of God's sheep. Keep in mind there are people who have heard Christ's voice & followed him that have not continued on. Jesus talks about those who do not continue to do so in St. John chapter 15 which is referring to those who do not continue on. These scriptures all fall under the same doctrine. In St. John 15:6 Christ is urging everyone to continue on. Jesus also says in St. John that he is the true vine & he is urging us to stay in the vine. Jesus states that we are in him because they are a part of the vine; the disciples have to remain in him. The word abide means to stay in. He means Jesus is saying if he doesn't abide in me he is cast-forth & it withers and burns away. Jesus makes it clear. If we are in him we have eternal life; but we have to remain in him. If you want more information on this subject blessed indeed I would be more than happy to share. Also seek the Lord on this subject. Granted I believe it takes a lot to leave the Lord, but it has happened. We just have to stay with Him & we have eternal security. Be blessed Rev. For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in water for the removal of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38! Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH. Titus 1:16, They profess that they know God; but in WORKS they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. God bless you!

@@nathanielmartin9892, I believe that 100%. I believe the whole bible. Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, Acts 2:38, Colossians 2:12, Galatians 3:27, 1 Peter 3:21, Romans 6:3-5. You can't pick and choose scriptures. If you need a little more, Abraham was righteous because of his faith, right? Now let's see if any WORK WAS INVOLVED. James 2:22-23, Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. It was his faith and works that pleased God. Noah's faith and works pleased God. Lot's faith and works that pleased God. Our faith and obedience to Acts 2:38 will please God.

@@rossdaboss1959 you’re ignorant in that. Paul was an apostle right? Why didn’t he baptize? Jesus told James and John can you be baptized with the baptism that I’m baptized with. He wasn’t talking about John baptism. John said told us what Jesus would baptize us with. I know you don’t see it it was a proselyte baptism. That’s why he told John let’s fulfill all righteousness. Noah found grace and we’re saved the same way we’re saved by grace through faith GOD found favor with Noah by faith Noah built that was the work. Our works are Christ working through us we’re elected unto obedience Peter said. I understand baptism.

He can’t “understand the tongues thing” because he has never experienced it. Tongues is NOT in italics in 1Corinthians12:10, the word “divers” is. Then he says that women can’t speak in tongues. He’s taking that out of context because the prophet Joel said sons and daughters would “prophesy” which was the sign of having the Spirit in the Old Testament and Peter said on the day of Pentecost when they spoke in tongues that “this (speaking in tongues) is that(prophecy). Both are supernatural utterances of the Spirit. The Apostle Paul said,”I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.” Clearly, (and this well educated preacher ought to know this) the context about tongues in Corinthians has to do with doing things in order not to negate the experience itself. And does this preacher know that women did speak in tongues? In fact they were in the upper room “with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.” Acts 1:14. Why is he trying to “teach” about tongues without understanding and experience of it ? So let’s, as he says, take the word “unknown” out of 1corinthians 14. Let’s look particularly at verse 14 of that chapter. It would then say,” For if I pray in a ..tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.” The word “unknown” was interpolated because if someone is praying with their own mouth and can’t understand themselves because their spirit is praying or speaking to God then that would be “unknown” to them and those around them but not unknown to God. Paul said he that speaks in tongues speaks not unto men but unto God.
