This info gives people the ability to have agency over their well being and quality of life. Unfortunately Dr Fettke doesn't resonate with the masses who would rather search for a video that legitimizes their toxic lifestyle, than watch this presentation in its entirety. Thankyou for taking the time to share this info. #isupportgary #isupportgaryfettke

Do we have any data on it? Surely there's been many desperate people with cancer who have tried zero sugar/low carbs?
@Unsensitive3 жыл бұрын
@@callmedeno I'd recommend reviewing data, analysis, lectures and discussion from the following: • Thomas Seyfried • Chris Knobbe • Tucker Goodrich And many others at this point.. You can piece together a compelling picture for the root cause being Metabolic Dysfunction at the mitochondrial level, with the primary cause being Linoleic Acid, C18:2n6, and it's oxidized metabolites. Overall PUFA load is probably secondary and high carb diets compound and exacerbate the issues, though are not in themselves the major causal factor. Looking forward to more research to dig deeper into this, particularly cause it looks to be the root cause of much, if not most chronic disease. Tucker Goodrich has a great blog with many references I'd recommend on the topic. You can find links to other resources from there as well. yelling-stop.blogspot.com/2016/02/the-cause-of-metabolic-syndrome-excess.html?m=1 yelling-stop.blogspot.com/2020/11/linoleic-acid-and-its-metabolites-primer.html?m=1 Also a great talk between Tucker Goodrich and Paul Saladino I'd recommend listening. Just search for their names and you'll find it.

I noticed that you mention the cake mornings in your talk, have you been in touch with any of the charity's that instigate these? I wrote to one today about them and would like to offer support to change this and offer mornings to support people to make simple healthy changes to their diet and lifestyle. Just wonder if you'd been down this road and what response you encountered?

Great presentation Dr. Fettke. More recently, Dr. Fung addresses this as well. I'd be curious to know if there's any research going on that is investigating the metabolic model that is presented here. If I had cancer I'd definitely try LCHF along with the other treatments.

@@nisadave Exactly. Cancer is a modern disease, if you adopt the ancient diet, it's doubtful you'd get cancer in the first place.

The truth is the same, so this is still true. Sugar is bad for you, carbs are mostly sugar so a low carb diet its a good idea no matter if you have cancer or not.

No, there are certainly many cancers that are caused by genetic defects. One young man I know was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer, at the ripe old age of 21, and the cause was assigned to a genetic defect known to cause this type of cancer. That said, the vast majority of cancers occur beginning in middle age and later, and the incidence rate is increasing around the world including in societies that traditionally had very low rates of cancer.

It needs to be emphasized that the problem is PROCESSED and refined carbohydrates, not whole food, real carbohydrates Thee are a multitude of studies showing the benefits of fruit, potatoes/tubers, whole grains on improving and reversing many health problems
@bigbenhebdomadarius62527 жыл бұрын
It needs to be emphasized that current research is more and more indicating that the problem is inflammation caused by sustained elevated insulin levels, which are caused by the excessive consumption of carbohydrates. The fiber that accompanies much of the carbohydrate in real food is beneficial, of course, because it slows the rate of absorption of the glucose in the carbohydrate, and also helps carry the carbohydrate through the small intestine and into the large intestine, where it can feed your gut bacteria instead of you. Since fat does not stimulate the secretion of insulin, a diet high in fat and low in carbohydrate allows insulin levels to fall and the bodies natural healing mechanisms to repair some of the damage caused by free radicals, thus reducing inflammation. If you have remained insulin-sensitive even after years on a high-carbohydrate diet, then you need not be so concerned about these issues, but many of us are insulin-resistant and need to worry.
@terraflow__bryanburdo45477 жыл бұрын
Fruit in it's modern, high-sugar form, and whole grains are both REFINED and PROCESSED carbohydrates, as they are artificially developed to produce higher carb/sugar content, as Dr Fettke has explained elsewhere. For nutrition, green vegetables are the highest source of sugar-free vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, as well as nutrient dense animal products.
@rageonyx7 жыл бұрын
Sorry presjo but that's wrong. During millions of years of evolution man didn't have access to fruit 24/7/365. Man had access to fruit once a year, when it ripened, if the birds hadn't eaten it all first. The reason potatoes and some grains show benefits is the resistant starch. We don't digest the starch, but the bugs in our guts do, and in turn they poop out some vitamins that are good for us.
