The problem with Dr Hook? You listen to one song and it's your favourite, you listen to their next one and IT'S your favourite, the next one then beomes your favourite. That's the thing, every one of their songs is your favourite! But who can blame me when they make such beautiful music? The word 'fantastic' was inevented because people knew these guys were coming along.

Like a fine wine, Dr. Hook just gets better and better through the years.

My opinion, Dennis's voice and talent is second to none. And that includes Elvis and Sinatra. If you will spend some time to listen to him, you will see what I am saying. I'm not talking about charisma or his stage presence or name recognition. But his beautiful voice and delivery. Dennis never misses a word or a note. Perfection.

Pure simple life's honesty in every song. From their heart and culture. Absolutely Priceless. No agents or managers stopping them from singing what THEY want to sing. History chiseled in vinyl?

Songs today can't really be called songs with all the screaming & shouting so bad you can't understand what they are saying. I'm not saying 70's didn't have that too, but if you listened to groups like this or country from back then most times they told a story.

@tokitten I had to laugh at your remark. Yes, if you look at these guys, except for lead singer, Dennis Locorriere, they ARE regular guys. But, Dennis, now there is a very irregular person. He doesn't approve of our enjoying his music on KZbin. Takes great exception to it, in fact.
@garyfernandez851326 күн бұрын
Some things just don’t make sense. Like how can a band from the seventies keep getting better and better fifty years later.
