Delaying your retirement if you do a physically strenuous job is horrible advice. I retired at 62 and I've never felt better. It took me a year and a half to be able to walk without a limp after quitting my warehouse job. I also am always busy with things I want to do and finally loving a stress-free life. But he is right about some people dying 6 months after retiring. I've also seen people die before retiring when they could have retired early. The reason why some people don't know what to do after retirement is because they forgot what they like to do. After all, they needed to focus their entire adult life on making money.

Many people get sick when they retire. People loss their purpose in life.

What things do you keep yourself busy with?

@@iranjackheelson That's what's important, keeping busy and doing things.

@@iranjackheelson Mostly projects around the house that I didn't have time to do while working. Also, I became a certified pet detective and I go around the town putting cameras around to find people's lost cats and dogs and if I find them, I put out traps. All volunteer work. I read a lot of spiritual material, starting to meditate and get back in shape. All things that were difficult to do working in a warehouse with lots of mandatory overtime. Also, I used to drink a lot and now I don't have a desire to do that. Like I said, people give up their hobbies and interests when they are constantly working and it takes a while to remember what you like to do and get into a different mindset.

The most important question is not your age, but… Where will you spend eternity? Eternity is forever?

Yes, the Japanese don’t think of retiring until their 70s or 80s and they’re the longest living people 👍🏻

A 112 year old man is being interviewed on tv. The presenter asks him: Tell us the reasons for your long life. The man says: As long as I remember, I have drunk 4 liters of red wine and one kg of raw onions every single day of my life. The presenter is absolutely gobsmacked and says: That is amazing! Hasn't your wife ever complained about you being drunk and stinking of onions? The old man goes: Oh that's the 3rd reason, I never married.
