I have a relative who is a 'born-again' religious person. When you challenge her on commonplace false propositions she becomes dogmatic, dismissive and you can see the problem. I see her as someone who is brain damaged and who struggles to think more deeply. Her view of the world is rigid, fixed and unwilling to accept it may be flawed. She is content, even proud, of her moralistic view of the world so who am I to challenge it in any way.
