To be gene therapy procedure must consist of: -delivering external nucleic acid (DNA or RNA) which has therapeutic influence on a body. This effect is delivered to at least one of mechanism: -forcing a cell to produce protein coded by delivered gene (DNA or RNA). -stoping or modulating gene expression by delivering: -dominant alleles for genes coding inactive or defective proteins - antisense nucleic acids reacting with mRNA - oligonucleotide traps which are catching transcripting factors - small interfering RNA used to silence expression for particular gene - ribozymes chemically modifing genetic material. As we can see these "vaccines" actually deliver nucleic acid (mRNA or DNA for vector vaccines), and are also forcing body to make spike protein which is artificial to our body as it is not coding spike protein in normal life. In addition to that vector viruses method of delivering is on of the "in vivo" method used to deliver gene therapy. So not only mechanism of this so called vaccine is in fact gene therapy, but also method of delivering is of that type. So no it's not a vaccine. In addition to that it's weird that no one is mentioning Hoskins effect or if you rather original antigenic sin. I don't want to go into details here, but this essentially block effectiveness of any vaccine for mutating viruses. In fact successive shots will lead to weaken immune response for new mutation. This has been shown on flu example. People vaccinated against Brisbane flu A in 2007 had lot worst responses and defence against 2009 H1N1 flu. And for dengue virus successive vaccines caused cytokine storms leading to demage blood vessels as they have increased permeability and demaged endothelium. The last part is more important to us as so called vaccine for covid is based on cytotoxicity response i.e. body produce CTL instead of B cells for immune response. So in this case effect can be similar to what we have with dengue viruse.
