Saqib Munir White musicians are always trying to get approval with the black population. I went to a Paul McCartney concert in an 18,000 venue. I counted 1, yes 1, black person in the audience. Blacks do not listen to white albums, nor attend white concerts. And that is a fact, which is why Paul McCartney wanted to collaborate with Kanye. Whites have always been craving approval from blacks when it comes to music - Frank Sinatra and Elvis were two to mention. Whites do not do hip hop/rap, so they may talk it up because they do not understand it.

People who Don't really pay attention to kanye tend to just see the worse and kanyes stans tend to just see the best. But taking a big step back it's amazing to see this man struggling while still creating amazing art. I accept that he has one of the best discographies in Hip Hop history. He and has also done some of the most ignorant and offensive things in the Mainstream. But all the while he's been pushing his own message and beliefs (or just beliefs he supports genuinely whether they are initially his own or not) on what the world should be. Fighting for the minorities, creative minds, and all around underdogs. It's been an amazing ride so far Dr. West

There’s something old-skool about him. He’s an Elton, a Hendrix, a Prince or Wacko Jacko for the iTunes generation. Wilfully eccentric, larger-than-life, happy to make a total tool out of himself. Pop should be a bit daft: a heady cocktail of hit songs, high fashion, flamboyant showmanship and outrageous interviews. In an increasingly grey industry of manufactured acts, media training, PR-controlled access and paralysing fear of causing controversy, combative characters like Kanye go off-piste, keep it unpredictable and prevent pop becoming joylessly boring. Kanye's more rock'n'roll than most guitar bands could ever be.

My opinion probably doesn't matter to any of you - especially to those of you who hate Kanye West for some reason but i have to say it: Kanye West is a genius and his music is an important piece of history and our generation. his music transcends hip-hop and rap. if you can't understand why that is then i'm sorry for you. Kanye, despite his publicity stunts, is regarded by many as a kind, compassionate individual. He often talks to his fans, and from all accounts is genuinely interested in what they have to say, what their life is like, and what their goals are. This is somebody who for the past nine years has been public enemy number one. It would be easy for him to go into absolute seclusion, and bitterly resent everybody, but he doesn't. He has a passion behind what he does, and it reflects in his music. Rick Rubin regards Kanye as the most influential and groundbreaking artist in hip-hop at the moment. Paul McCartney regards Kanye as a genius. He has won the love and respect of anybody who genuinely takes an interest in his music (Which has won 21 grammy awards, might I add). Despite the VMA incident, Kanye and Taylor Swift are good friends, and Swift herself has a deep respect for Kanye as an artist. Not to mention, the dude has not had it easy. The hatred people and the media have for Kanye is nothing more than an attempt to marginalize one of the greatest artists of our time. His outbursts, though not classy, are not unfounded. Hell, John Lennon literally said the Beatles were bigger than Jesus; if that's not hubris I don't know what is. Both Lennon and West are icons and artists who have changed this world forever. Just because you haven't taken the time to see further than your limited frame-of-reference by no means makes Kanye a bad artist or a bad human being.
