"Let me put this up in case anyone else has any beef questions, any meat inquires." The word choice is so funny.

Sam Maghsoodloo Yep, me too! Barry Sobel made this my favorite episode Dr.Katz ever. Can't believe how many years it's been since I first saw it.

It's handed down from generation to generation, from one aging cynical parent to the next lol. I have become this guy myself and as a kid I remember my grandpa used to say it and prolly his father and his father's father too. There is no avoiding this, you live in their house, that's how they getcha

if any of your gentile friends are ever curious what it's like being raised by jews this 56 second clip pretty much encapsulates the experience ..."i don't know where the steak goes, all i know is how they getcha"

Dr. Katz took comedian's throwaway lines and turned them into legends. You may not know it's a legend when the show was first on, but look at how much it's infiltrated people's memories.

I have to admit the older I get the more I know how the getcha lol. Personally I see no flaw in this man's argument 😁

Can somebody explain the words: '' That's how they get you ''
@SamMaghsoodloo6 жыл бұрын
Sure, I would be glad to help you with the english! It's a phrase used when something seems like a great deal, but there is a hidden trick that you don't see. In this scene, Barry's dad is saying that the free bread before the meal is how they trick you into eating less meat. Does that explain it?

it would be great to understand something new. I heard that sentence on Ellen Show and i didn't understand until now. Thank you so much, i'll wait for your next videos !

I love the fact this commenter is clearly from another culture and is somehow watching this obscure gem of a scene. Kudos to you sir, I'm sure you're a master of our fine language by this time. I hope nobody gotcha, and all is well
