@heatherfranco5633 I had an mri that showed lesions in the subcortical regions. They told me that was normal smh yet when I spoke with a diff nurse in my neurologist office, she told me it is indicative of small vessel disease. But if the spike damages the endothelial function, it makes sense my mri showed the damage frkm long haul. Been suffering since spring of 2020. Everytime I start to really find some relief for the neurological (autonomic nervous system) symptoms, I get covid again and go the thru it all over again. Never had the cold and sinus symptoms, it's always neurological. Symptoms that all fall under dysautonomia. But my Dr knows nothing about dysautonomia or pots

Thank you both. These sessions are among my favorites. Regarding having later presenting patients being more difficult to treat, perhaps this is not the passage of time, but a self-selecting issue. If 100 patients have a disease and 95 recover without treatment over time and one of the remaining 5 present, one would expect that patient to be one of the most difficult 5% and not an average of those who might present from the initial, sick 100.

For the cat allergy try inhaling Olbus oil before coming in contact with a cat. A friend is highly allergic to cats and this works for her every time and she now has her own cat. A few drops of Olbus oil in a bowl of hot water inhaled with a towel over her head clears another friends sinus headaches. It's cheap and available from pharmacy's or health food outlets. Hope it might help you.

3 year longhauler here, I didn't have allergies besides mild seasonal. 3 years later and I'm sitting with every kind of allergy medication at my desk. Today is the first warm day of the year and I'm not okay lol the thing is I don't have any traditional symptoms of allergies but when I come in contact with allergens my body goes into a huge inflammation flare that affects my whole body. I was hoping this would resolve by now. I have been tested for MCAS and my test are always normal but I'm confident that's what it is.
@sarahb.6475
@sarahb.6475 Жыл бұрын
Some people have 2 or 3 copies of the tryptase gene. And most people with MCAS also have skin writing. Do you get red marks on your skin from clothes or if you lightly rub something across the skin? Red mark lasts 15× minutes? Check out the book by Dr Laurence Afrin. Also many people who get it are also hypermobile so look into EDS (ehlers danlos syndrome).

@ambers969
@ambers969 Жыл бұрын
Our immunologist told me that if you respond to MCAS treatment, then you likely have MCAS/MCAD. He said the kind of MCAS Covid causes is fickle & almost impossible to capture with labs. Sometimes having standing lab orders can help if you really need to capture elevated Tryptase, histamine, and/or methylhistamine. That way you can run in for a blood draw on a day you are feeling especially crappy (instead of waiting for appointment, new lab orders, & by that time you’re feeling better… You get the idea)

Dr. Been this is by far the best video of longcovid I’ve seen almost everything you mention has been what I’ve been dealing with since 2020. I never ever had allergies before I’m in Northern California been here over 20 years and now I feel congested and sneeze all the time, I still deal with shortness of breath especially after eating any meal. My liver enzymes have gone down some not completely though. My iron and ferttin are very low I finshed 5 rounds of Iv infusions over a 2 month period why why why am I still so tired I think that’s been the worst thing for me is the fatigue. Brain fog sometimes. I’m not the same person at all and it’s scary I feel like I’m slowly dieing . My heart rate is bad some days I’m on a heart med and dr wants to start me on a cholesterol med I’ve never had high cholesterol and all these meds are scary side effects. I watched the movie the other night called a man called Otto for anyone that ever watched it when he hears his heart beat that’s what I feel everyday now my heart pounding. Im still having postive antibodies years later. It’s crazy. What tests should I ask for my dr to run to see what is causing longcovid?

Thankfully we have these Dr's online who actually care and are providing their research to help ppl like us. I used the flccc protocol but use quercetin instead of the zpack cuz I'm allergic to that. Vit d, vit c, zinc and quercetin helped a lot. And I do prolonged fasting now also and take magnesium every night!!!! I also am tresting myself for pots, I just don't take any scripts from my Dr's. One response to the gentleman who said he had sore thighs is something that I do and I think it probably keeps my iron levels high: I only use a cast iron skillet, which u never clean with soap. I cook everything in that Skillet & I use it almost everyday . I saute vegetables and so on & the iron leaches into the vegetables ( without affecting taste or appearance) and I figure that's good for me. Sometimes I've left the mushrooms there a bit too long because I have a small cast iron skillet that I put them in because I read that I should get rid of the water in them so I could saute them properly with my vegetables and I sort of forget them and they turn black 😢and I still eat them because I know that they're simply full of the iron from that small cast iron skillet. THE water that remains from them is also black which clued me in, tho I recommend u not forget them cuz their texture is no longer succulent . Cast iron ( sometimes called DUTCH OVEN) is a method that I think has been used since the beginning of time as regards humans cooking & using iron cookware & gives you iron into your system so that you don't need to take a supplement or depend on meat for example, as I'm a vegetarian, so that's an idea worth exploring or trying GOOD LUCK 🌈
@LadyBug1967
@LadyBug1967 Жыл бұрын
PS In 1707 a man named Darby returned from the Netherlands and he tweaked the sand moulding technique to create what we now call the cast iron skillet and that is what I use . SO it's not really very expensive. I think I bought it for $8. YOU must season it before you use it and you can Google that and it will tell you how in case you don't know. I'm not a good cook-- I'm a lazy cook-- and I really don't like cleaning up but I do because I like a clean kitchen but with a cast-iron, all you need to do is use water-- if anything-- to clean it. I actually do not because I decided that the oil that enters into the pot from my cooking --which is very good quality olive oil-- seasons it daily while water will try to destroy some of the seasoning and you don't want that😊 GOOD LUCK 🎉

Ask the GP to refer her to the Long Covid Clinic. Another step, you could go privately to a cardiologist or neurologist who have treated Long Covid patients to get the diagnosis and then ask for the Long Covid clinic. My experience has been the lack of knowledge and subsequent gaslighting by medical practitioners. Be prepared for we don't have any answers because we don't know what we are treating. It's mostly symptom management unfortunately.

@@jenniferw1595 From what I’ve researched about long COVID, if you had the RNA vaccine you have the spike protein much longer than if you only had an infection. How long? I don’t think we know yet. The longest time I’ve seen mentioned in research is it was still present at ten months after vax (although at decreased levels, we just don’t know yet if that can get to zero and if so when, and is that going to happen for everyone). There are drugs being used to treat long COVID that are also being recommended for people who are having side effects from the RNA vax. I would recommend looking at the protocol published by FL (then 3 C’s) [worried it’s a term YT won’t like me saying as one word]. I’m currently treating long COVID with their protocol and it’s made a huge difference. The biggest difference for me seems to be coming from Vit D, Zinc, Quercetin, Vit C, and Reservatol. I’m also on two prescriptions they recommend for autoimmune disorders I had before COVID, so I’m not sure how big of a role they have played. If you have other illnesses you’re specifically worried may be affected by the spike proteins or immune system response to COVID, have your doctors look over the protocol and help you decide which recommendations are worth trying (or worth trying first).

not much of a difference, we get infected with virus, we mount a immune response, we get the vaccine it triggers a production of spike protein in our body, we mount a immune response, in both cases we create inflammatory cytokines, which prior to covid 19 were studied and observed to have the ability to cause life long scarring of tissues, we know that spike proteins both from infection and vaccine travel far outside of the respiratory system in our plasma and has been found on multi organs, coupled with inflammatory cytokines leaving scar tissue on multi organs/tissues would lead to a laundry list of symptoms varying between people, which we see in long covid patients over 200+ different symptoms, and because the tissue is scarred the stories of long covid patients who seem to feel better and then exert themselves thinking they are on the track to recovery and then rebound in symptoms aligns with the scarring of tissues and never fully recovering, the tissues become injured from activity and the symptoms return.

I think the problem is the same, it's the immune system of the individual that is the problem. A bit like driving a car with bold tyres, all the time the road is dry, everything is fine, it is only when it rains that the bold tyres become a problem. If your immune system has bold tyres, you are more likely to have a problem when you get vaccinated or infected.

Dr. Been, a question. 5 year old female child is experiencing high fever upto 103 was diagnosed with a purportedly with a bacterial infection but quite high CRP and she had no vaccination. She is in Japan where vaccination policy for kids seem different. Diagnosis is still uncertain. What are the chances this is juvenile COVID?

100% here all of the above minis EBV with a prior unknown Mold exposure activating Mast cell and more, ( biotoxin illness) then followed by C virus 3 months after exiting Moldy living quarters. *Doc wants to start allergy drops, customized not shots but drops, afraid ALLERGY drops may heighten Mast cells and all the hard work put in thus far to reduce will be exasperated again?? TAKE THE ALLERGY DROPS OR NOT?

You are really dumb. A lot of people have long covid from the first wave when there were no vaccines. Stop this vax obsession.

@@rubyjane8603 It seems like you have too much free time. Or are you a child or some kind of redneck? I have no idea who you are and where you left your bitter comments. Long Covid exists. It is caused by covid, not by vax. Vax injuries also exist. They are rare, but they happen and can be severe or fatal. 99.9% of people don't have any problems with vaccines. Those are facts. Other post-viral or post-infection conditions also exist. Like ME/CFS or chronic Lyme. No connection to vaccines. This anti-vax cult in those comments is just pathetic.

Could this decrease in gut beneficial bacteria and an increase in fungal growth have anything to do with the haphazard use of antibiotics 🤔
