The stories that are being told on this channel are remarkable 👌, you taking us into these politicians , academics, and business leaders lounges. Their stories also give an ordinary child from Soweto, Galeshewe, Umlazi, etc. It's possible to contribute to this incredible country. Mainstream media always paints these Black leaders in a bad light. We are not saying they are perfect, but there's always a good story to tell in every individual. Thank you Doc, this space (SMWX) articulates that Black people can also build this country. #SMWX #ayeye

Great interview. As I have said in previous comments at some stage the "revolutionaries" have to stash the barrettes and AKs and pick up a shovel and become builders. Revolutionaries are good at initiating change but not good at what comes after. After the change builders are what is required. Dr Ramokgopa exemplifies the builders. We have too many people stuck in the revolutionary mindset. Some people think talking more about the past will somehow benefit people. Others look to the future and how to affectively improve people lives (ie. looking at countries that have done it - Singapore etc., and effective implementation of strategies that would benefit the country). If the whole of the ANC was like Dr Ramokgopa for the past 30 years we would not even be talking about things like inequality or "a system that only benefits a few". Lets hope this ethos of diligence, competence, commitment, pragmatism, expertise and true patriotism can start permeating through the ANC and the rest of South Africa.

Dr Sizwe, I noticed that you offer a unique platform for politicians to share personal biographical insights. Especially ANC officials have deep personal stories due to their involvement in the resistance against apartheid and underground work, which is not often well understood and appreciated, but rather overlooked and ignored, by the more established media outlets!

Damn. This is the kind of leaders we need-someone who isn't a populist or narcissist suffering from main character syndrome. Listen to how he uses 'we' more than 'I.' Data-driven decisions are always better than ideological nonsense. Ideological solutions often isolate great minds or technically superior ideas just because they come from different frameworks or don’t align with a specific ideology.

I think the interview was excellent, but one crucial question was missed: the issue of load reduction. I live in Marapong, a mining town in Lephalale, with two power stations just minutes away. Despite this, we still face load reduction for four hours daily. We don’t have cable theft issues and use prepaid meters, yet the problem persists. Neither the municipality nor Eskom communicates when or how it will be resolved. It’s frustrating, especially since most residents work in the power stations and mining companies like Exxaro. While the Minister's efforts are commendable, we shouldn’t overlook those still facing challenges. Even if load reduction affects only 5% of South African households, that 5% is still significant. More clarity is needed on the plans to address load reduction in towns like ours, where we don’t struggle with cable theft or municipal debt. Let’s not celebrate success while some communities remain in the dark.

Being a busy boy i loved ear dropping. Some of the comrades called me problem child. Probably i was if i look back 60 years. There's evil spirit that's very hard to melt all around the world if one looks at the problems of the world. Ten more generations to go by before human beings find themselves looking at peace within money and wine is the worst drug in the world. At the moment.
