Dr Laura Moretti - The power of characters

This video is an introduction to Japanese characters (kanji) and is designed for pupils who are interested in the Japanese language. Dr Laura Moretti introduces basic knowledge around Japanese characters, with some reflection on how they were also used in a playful manner in early modern times. This video was originally made for an outreach event at Emmanuel College, which took place in February 2021.
