The head of the National Advisory Council was the Congress President. When the leaders of other countries came again the Congress President would meet with them and hold talks with them sometimes without the presence of the PM. How can a party president supercede the PM of a country and what business does a party president have holding talks with leaders of foreign countries? The Congress President also flew to China along with family during Beijing Olympics to meet with Chinese leaders without the Indian PM. So if this is how independent he was as PM what makes you think he was more than a babu as FM?

The contribution of sikhs to the society cannot be ignored. Making less than 2% of the population the impact is immense, from PMs to Generals and serving in open hands with langar. In the freedom moment Bhagat Singh, Uddham Singh and others shake the modernistic view of traditional slave morality. During WW1, WW2 Sikhs were regarded as brilliant soldiers and fought together in the trenches with the allies. It’s strange that the people who gave immensely to shaping the life of others and making a country are biased esp. on modern media channels like this one. Investigative and factual media is non existent in India. Freedom of press is just a mere text in the copied constitution. Wonder how the society will evolve in countries like India where moral values are confused and re written. Fredrick Neitzchste rightly predicted the fall of European society. My opinion of Manmohan Singh is that he was brilliant academically but failed as a Prime Minister because of toeing the line of the corrupt Congress -I.
