Dr Martens Jadon Unboxing

Just thought I would do a little unboxing (well big since the box is huge) of both the vegan Jadon II and the black Jadon Dr Martens because I was super keen for these new shoes that have been taking over my gram! Dr Martens grow character as they crease and age. I’m buying my first pair of them for college as I really need a sturdy, comfortable and long-lasting boot to walk around in. Of course, I’m scared to break them in because I’ve heard a lot of people getting blisters etc, so hopefully that goes well! Definitely will be doing it prior to college haha. I ho;e you’re still enjoying your Martens!

I went to get Jadons at first but chickened out because they were way too heave and scary looking for me . So I bought the pascal heart 1460s and love them and they were my first pair of docs but I got back into actually wanting Jadons because im used to the weight of dr martens and tried Jadons again in the store and they felt more comfy on me then they were before and I want them sooo bad now to go along with my 1460s but they’re expensive affff

have you ever tried the doc socks that are meant to assist with breaking in/avoiding blisters? are they any good? ive been considering trying em out but 25 is a lot to spend on socks!

I haven’t sorry but im sure they are really good. I normally just go for ribbed tennis socks because they stay in place!

i got my jadon black smooth leather, it's harder to break in than the vegan version (softer leather) but I do the double sock method of breaking em in at home and they are the most comfortable boots i ever own (i also went a full size down on them and they fit great :) )

I find that the red vegan ones go with all my clothes because I own colours that go with them but if you had other colours in your wardrobe I would go black, they will probably last longer too.

Had to send my vegan jadon max back . Broke them in after much pain then the leather split after one long walk outside . They refunded and I’m reluctant to re buy

Mine are the same size as most of my other shoes and do fine. I generally wear thicker socks with mine if I can sometimes I wear thin socks and they still fit great. Just wear socks that cover your ankles because if you don’t, it’ll probably rub your ankle raw, that’s what happened with me.

I believe it is 1.75 inches, don't be scared you get used to it real quick and now I can't look at normal docs the same... they are so flat :P

I have them! My cherry ones are the most comfortable docs I own, the black took some breaking in and now they are goood!

shilin after you break them in yes bc the sole is VERY soft. It‘s like walking on a cloud. But in the beginning you get blisters sometimes.

Agreed, the soles feel like clouds! I find them the most comfortable out of all my docs but if you are not use to heavy shoes they maybe a bit clunky for you. But they go with everything which is so cool! And they look great!

So I am normally a 9 in shoes but I basically got these in an 8 (UK 6), but with all my dr martens I get a UK 6 so if you have dr martens already go with that size. Maybe if you can, go to a store and try some docs on. Out of all my docs, these are the ones where my toes are closest to the end of the shoe... hope that helps!

The way I see it is women sometimes size down because their feet are smaller and narrower and men tend to go with their usual size. Maybe if you can try them on in a store for sizing!

i would just recommend trying a pair on even if it's the not the colour you want because once you know your size you can order them offline. what i can say for me is that i'm a uk 9 and they fit perfectly and when i was a 8 they were good as well but i would just suggest trying a pair of them on

I'm a size 8(true size) but my made in England docs was a little bit loose and has heel slippage, so I went to a size down to a 7 n it's good but def have to break it in

oh no! Give your feet a break for a bit until they heal, then next time you wear them add bandaids to the areas where you think you might get blisters. Get bandaids that hold in place and don't move when your shoes rub on them because that will make it worse! Where them around the house at all times to until they are fine to walk in!

My feet get soooo sweaty in the cherry red vegan 1461s but the vegan jadons are fine! They are actually lighter, more comfortable and more breathable than my other docs! I think because they have padding inside.

I have the vegan chelsea boot style ones and foudn them to not be as breatheable as the real leather DM's I've had in the past. They've been much easier to break in though.
