Dear varshini v advise not to use anything. Just dip the cup in moderate hot water for 5 mins before u insert. Makes ot soft. Also trying to insert after bath too helps. If u really want to use, any water based lube is safe lije KY jelly. Pl dont use oil or vaseline etc

It's good to keep trying but not when you are scared. It's important to understand that some people have trouble inserting it the first time, second time and even afterwards until you have learnt to insert it. Be sure it's the right size cup. But be gentle and patient, keep trying even if you are not on periods to get used to it. Once we learn to insert it properly, the fear goes away, we learn what position and fold works best for us.

mam i have a query i put the cup inside and it make no pop up sound..means how can i get it that it has opened and inserted properly or not, ??? and another thing is at the time of removal its take time and as u said my removing the vacuum and pressing it little ..i m unable to remove and it gets inside that i have to pull it hard...by stem/tail nd feel like bubbles are forming inside... Not needed to measure cervix. On an avg there is only 3 inches of space and then there is a dead end. Stonesoup menstrual cup can be easily used. If you feel that the cup has gone little deep while removing, one shd not panic . Just take deep breath, sit in sqatting position and push the cup using your pelvic muscles as you do when constipated. The cup will slide and you will be able to reach the base. Pinch the bottom to release the suction and then remove.
