You're not sure if he was suspended or wasn't, you don't know what cause him to not attend, all of us don't. The problem is that people like King, instead of being true commentators and analysts, they reduced themselves to boot lickers and propagandists of the EFF. When the EFF needed strong, building critique from left news outlets and KZbinrs, King doubled down on the support for Julius and his destructive rhetoric on immigration. Now the EFF has compounded problems stemming from people wanting to suck up to Julius and not honestly analyzing and critiquing the party when it needed constructive criticism the most.
