I’m pretty sure when she says “I want him to leave out of my daughter’s life,” it kind of answers Dr. Phil’s question about what she expects the husband to do. She wants him gone, that’s her expectation from him.

Honestly? Coming from a household with this kind of mom, it’s one of two options. My sister became the time to yell and shout back at my mom in order to defend herself and stand her ground. I will sit there, bear the brunt of the attacks, avoid the bait that is thrown out, and slowly cut her out of my life. It’s two different fighting styles, the barbarian vs the rogue. Obviously, she has chosen the latter.

@@baby_bear thissss!! My mom is such an instigator and I used to get so mad at every attempt she made at a fight and I would always engage and fight back. What's wrong with disrespecting a mom specifically? Moms can be terrible people just like dads can, you're looking at a perfect example on Phil's show, and there are many more just like her or worse. Moms don't deserve respect just for being moms. Any idiot can pop out a kid and call themselves "mom" but that doesn't make them worthy of respect if they treat their kids like crap.

The mom seems like she grew up in a family where if your story is detailed enough it can't be a lie. So she adds unnecessary details into her story to make her seem truthful.
@justanotheranonymousaccoun63654 жыл бұрын
Nah, that’s just another thing that narcissists do to try and manipulate people. She has no one to blame but herself for her lying strategies.
@solarisjade2292 Жыл бұрын
Its a common thing with some liars, (although i dont think that should be the tell every time, some people just genuinely feel that the extra details are necessary). In this case I’d say it’s plainly obvious that she is adding more details because she is lying. She thinks her extra details make her more credible and they dont. Id argue the daughter is 100% adding extra details because of her mother doing the same, but in her case it isnt a lie, her mother probably just wouldnt listen without full details and would accuse her of lying, i think thats why the daughter started out adding those extra details that didnt matter

I mean the consequence for the worst people should be time-based abandonment. If they treat their family (or anyone) like garbage, they should be left alone. They don't deserve loving interaction if they can't be civil or kind, and even worse, try to manipulate others. If they want to act like screaming toddlers, it's timeout for however long it takes for them to behave. If they ever decide to be better, then they can rejoin the family.
