Being sexually abused as a 5 year old . I was terrified to tell anybody. It was so awful to have to talk about it. It made me feel ashamed and embarrassed. Idk about this child but I was so scared to even say a word.

The father is not a likeable person but that doesn't mean he is a child rapist and after seeing his genuine reaction to his vindication from the lies of a jaded pill popping ex lover and her reaction of anger and not relief from the news that her daughter was not raped by her father tells me all I need to know. i told my mom immediately after the summer with my grandma. i was not afraid but no one believed me and so it continued. i wouldnt agree to that for everyone. then continued til age 12. was silent til i had enough and told someone i trusted from school. no one really listens to children that makes them afraid and give up. sometimes on life. i was not coached because no one believed me when i spoke up on my own at 6 until years later.

This is 100% the mom, not the grandma. In my opinion the grandma reacted exactly how you should react when a child says they've been raped. You believe them completely and defend them, and that's what she was doing. The mom was feeding her lies, but she has no idea that she was lying. It makes sense. If I was the grandma, of course I would believe her and I would do everything in my power to help. I'm so glad that the poor girl was not assaulted in that way, but this arguing and coaching and lies have damaged her. The mom has abused her by doing this.

Agree. That was a misunderstanding. He said well rehearsed, but a small child can totally do that. If they tell a story and it gets a big reaction, they will repeat the story over and over for that reaction, occasionally adding new and interesting details that they thought up. Dr Phil is right. It's a fun game for her, that gets her lots of attention. She has no idea the gravity of what she is saying.

my dads goal in life was using me and my brothers to get back at my mom. he would always prepare us on any visists with people in the law. hed tell us exactly what to say and made us afraid if we didnt. so much so that me and my brothers would go against each other if we had to. it was horrible. so i know she told her daughter what to say. disgusting and messing her kid up for life with a lifetime of trauma
