Omkar is a member of the CSRA Premier Program, a senior, and the first chair of the Centennial High School in Frisco ISD.
After taking only four lessons with Dr. Qian, he was ranked No.6 Bb Clarinet in the 5A division by the Texas Music Educators Association ( TMEA) All-State audition process. As a result, he will perform as the Co-Principal Clarinet of the 2023 Texas All-State 5A Symphonic Band and perform in San Antonio for the TMEA annual conference. He is the only clarinet all-stater that year from his high school.
Omkar is also the Co-Principal of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Clarinet Choir for its 2022-23 concert season.
