Dr sarno was my doctor for 25 years. I'm so happy there are so many doctors, psychologist, coaches carrying on his message. As I've learned "There's no cure for the human condition." I healed backpain after his 2nd lecture (back I'm 1992) I've overcome many chronic symptoms, I'd call him w each new symptom, he'd say something reassuring & whatever the symptom was, would go away. I've finally learned to count on myself. Thank goodness for Sarno

The most encouraging thing came from Dr. Sarno’s lectures is: any injuries can heal over time. Our subconscious brain may utilize the fact that we have once had injuries at certain body parts to create chronic pain conditions. I came to this realization and have started not to over concern about my chronic ankle pain. I am determined to heal myself and hopefully one day walk like a healthy person.

Hi Kathleen. Thank you and, yes I really enjoyed unpacking these daily reminders again! Can we send you our Sarno Medal of Freedom? Often, our perfectionist clients resist accepting this honor because they're "only" 90% better (LOL). If so, let me know and I'll email you directly to confirm details. :)

Love this , I really should listen to it daily! It is a great reminder to listen to before I am off to my vigorous dance class tonight! It is a miraculous to me that I am back in dance class, able to all dance all out and thriving from it! Dancing is my passion and sadly I was told it could be dangerous to over-exert myself, so I thought it was not good for my body for too long. It is not only good for my body, but wonderful for my soul. I have your program, and Dr. Sarno, to thank for this!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!

One thing I note is that psychologists regularly say that anger is important, repressed anger causes dysfunction in the body - but I have yet to see a psychologist actually modeling a healthy expression of anger - a relaxed, trusting expression of boundaries or what's important. Instead the emotion is talked about *clinically*. There might be words of emotion, but there is no emotion showing in the voice and the face has a professional mask. This in a subtle way reinforces cutting off anger. It's a "do what I say, not what I do" type of message for anyone who is sensitive to facial expressions, tone, and non-verbal signals. Meditation teachers also create this atmosphere FYI - the words say "welcome everything" but most clearly are uncomfortable with any negative emotion in the room, especially anger. Now I know producing a video for KZbin isn't an acting class and it's actually a vulnerable thing showing healthy anger. But I wish there was some public recognition that there are cognitive dissonances in how this topic is communicated. And for those who grew up being attacked at any expression of real anger, clinical messages don't break through those brain habits.

You are a blessing. I saw Dr. Sarno in 1986. He turned my life around and back pain was no longer my identity. I'm now 63, and TMS is back with a vengeance. I have been under the most stress in my life. I know this is the cause, but I'm having a hard time beating it this time. Sadly I can't just call the wonderful Dr. Sarno anymore. My home was totally flooded from a recent hurricane. It's affected everything! I think I will be reaching out to you for help if you're still available.

I'm so sick, on palliative care. I have myasthenia gravis, confirmed via repetitive nerve stimulation tests, I have ptosis (eyelids hanging down muscles can't hold lids all the way open) and had to take decades of steroids/prednisone to try and hault the autoimmune process. Now I'm steroid dependent as my adrenal glands quit making cortisol on their own. So I have Adrenal Insufficiency and I will literally die without cortisol replacement, so unfortunately I must continue the prednisone for life. The steroid/prednisone has *destroyed* much of my bones... my teeth too; my spine is absolutely awful... degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, many bulging discs, hx of fractures in my thoracic spine, severe facet degeneration, spondylitis, hx of 3 epidural abscesses resulting in life threatening septicemia, avascular necrosis of both hips/left hip replaced; severe thyroid disease/Hashimoto autoimmune thyroiditis with hyperthyroidism likely causing my severe muscle pain due to thyroid-toxicosis. I suffer from debilitating weakness. I also suffer from awful thigh pain, and very bad lower back pain. I realize I have serious, real medical challenges; however, if I could be relieved of the lower back pain alone I'd be ecstatic! It's what causes me the worst pain. Anyone, have any thoughts about my case? I believe TMS is a BIG possibility for some of my pain... especially my lower back pain.

😊 I know I have two herniated discs and two bulging discs I've been having burning in my lower spine and tightness I went to physical therapy but this time it didn't help me I'm just starting to move my spine now but still having the tightness and burning I am well aware of my emotions I'm in touch with my anger and frustration so not all of this is TMS I believe it's truly from my herniations that some of them take time to heal

Question regarding IBS. How does one just ignore IBS and carry on with their day? The possibility of soiling oneself is pretty intimidating. Sometimes there's very little warning.
