Dr. Weinstein: Heart Saver

Dr. Jonathan Weinstein, a cardiologist at North Suffolk Cardiology, was watching his son play in a soccer tournament at SUSA Complex in Central Islip on March 9, when he heard a commotion. A referee suddenly collapsed. Dr. Weinstein stepped in immediately, starting CPR and administering an AED, shocking the ref four times before an ambulance arrived.
Dr. Weinstein was recently honored with a Heart Saver Award from the Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation for his lifesaving actions that day.
