Dr. William Malm recalls the origins of the U-M Gamelan

Ethnomusicologist, Dr. William P. Malm, recalls the background and origins of the University of Michigan Gamelan ensemble. Dr. Malm was the buyer of the U-M Gamelan in 1966, and he offers these remarks in 2017, on the 50th anniversary of the ensemble's debut performance.
