For what it’s worth, the original composition was prompted by Satie’s exposure to Hungarian, not Greek music (at the world expo) but yeah, I always thought that a rebetiko treatment was necessary ;-)

Takes you a moment to pick up the tune, (well it took me a moment anyway,) and then it's there. One of the strangest and cleverest arrangements of a Gnossienne that I've heard and there are a lot.

Mr Harry - Thank You!! Pozdrowienia serdeczne! B.& W.

Fantastic ! and perfect to take surrealistic video to the unparalleled abstract impressionistic music of Eric S. Could have gotten a little bit more creative on the lead breaks and also let's introduce the Mud Men; in more clips of background population meets strange garbed musicians etc.

Which TV series used this piece of music? Maybe not with just such an extravagant performance but the music?
@harrypartch10 ай бұрын
I don't know of it in a specific TV series. It's one of Erik Satie's most famous pieces so you might have heard it on many occasions. But it is generally known as a piece of piano music.
