You know the Saturn version is weird when there's no Richter and yet you still perform Richter skip, in the dark, out-of-bounds (but also kind of in-bounds) into a pixel-perfect out of place teleport that gets you a few rooms to the left of where you should be. Like HOW did they manage to mess it up like that! 🤣

Can’t that initial save with Maria be prepared beforehand or must it be done on the same power-on of the console/emulator? If it could be prepared before, then it shouldn’t count to the total time (like setting a “clear” save to be able to buy duplicators with Alucard doesn’t count).

Great video, Dr4gonBlitz! With RNG manipulation on the table, I've been wondering, have any TAS runners tried using the Iron Shield and the Mablung Sword in this category? You'd get the Iron Shield from RNG manipulating a Winged Guard on your way to fight Hippogriff and the Mablung Sword from RNG manipulating the Spectral Sword in that room you end up in from out of bounds after performing the spike room clip.

I love how every time a new speedrunning strat comes out it’s all “oh no, this is insane, impossible to pull off consistently, there’s a one in a million chance of getting it, nobody can ever do it in a real run, it’s TAS only…” Then some absolute madman comes and does it anyway and then everyone else needs to get on board to beat the impossible new record haha!
