Enjoy the DR. I have a 2007 which I bought second hand in 2017. I've spent WAY too much money on it on mods, and I still love it.

@@AUSTIN_457 You're gonna think I'm crazy. My bike alternates between an outback adventure build and a supermoto setup for road riding. The mods list is long: - Reliability mods (neutral sending unit bolt repair, chain roller delete, countershaft seal retainer). Newer models don't need some of these fixes AFAIK. - Heavy duty front sprocket cover - TM42 carb - Full Staintune exhaust - Bash plate - Engine protectors - Barkbuster hand guards - Rally Moto steering damper - Custom seat - Lots of Warp 9 stuff (hand levers, brake and clutch levers) - Warp 9 wheels - Warp 9 supermoto wheels - LED lights - Windscreen - Luggage racks - Safari and Acerbis long range tanks - Off road mirrors - Renthal handlebars - Oxford heated grips Probably a few more I forgot about 🙂

Oh yeah, I forgot about the most important mod of all. Full suspension upgrade.

@AndrewRembel wow thats an impressive list! I bet the bike is a joy to ride with all those improvements. I got lucky that the previous owner put a pumper carb on my bike. I have a XR400 that I swapped out the stock carb for a tm40 pumper. It was a game changer. Haven't rode a DR with a stock carb but I have 0 complaints with the pumper carb! I need to get a better seat for sure, and other than that I'd like to get a windscreen. Maybe raise the bars up a bit too since I'm 6'3 have any recommendations for the windscreen and seat?

Ditch the seat and those Death Wing tires. They may work OK on the street, but don't trust them in the dirt.

@@EricKoch-s5b that's the plan this winter. Going to get some new tires for it, new chain (probably sprockets too just to have everything fresh) and yeah need to just pull the trigger on a better seat. The seat is really my only negative I have with the bike at the moment. Thanks for watching 🙏
