I have fished the Gulf of Mexico all my life, used many different boat “fish” sonar devices over the last 25 years. Owned over 10 different power boats. I’m experienced! I purchased the Deeper Chirp model from Academy sports about 6 months ago. I have move inland about 4 years ago and now fish fresh water from the bank or in a small aluminum boat. I’ve followed the directions, made all the suggested setting changes. It doesn’t work very well at all. I wish I could get my money back!

You along with a bunch of others post up and say and or lead up to that you're reviewing the deeper chirp and the deeper pro+. After which i bought one thinking i would get the best one they have and figure it out from there. Got it! and its green and it says deeper chirp BUT it has no PLUS! and there is a difference. now im trying to get it working and also wonder if the graphics are better on the plus?

The normal chirp has no gps, so no inshore mode at all, chirp plus has gps...

Don't believe the fish icon, ever. Learn how to actually read the sonar without the icons. Icons are useless on ANY sonar.

@@Luke-hu9mc The chirp version has better target separation, but the pro+ is much more accurate that they show in this vid. Fishing from land this is a good product, for boat fishing its crapp compared to real sonars. For the same price you can buy a really good sonar with down imaging. Look at lowrance hook2 series and see the difference

@@Luke-hu9mc If youre fishing from boat buy a real sonar from humminbird, lowrance or garmin. I have humminbird helix 9 with mega imaging, its a giant leap to go from deeper to a real sonar
