!!UPDATE!! Blizzard has released a hotfix which adjusted how mobs that are linked share aggro. The problem is sometimes the fight will go exactly how it is shown in my video and other times the second you hit Cho or gordok both will run back at the same time. Seems to be pure rng at this point. In this situation you will need to get crafty and juggle the mobs the same way just pay more attention if one gets split up from the other. Try and keep both together and reset both at the same time.

The only difference i see is that you jump down before ur pet pulls and i tend to try to get 1 hit in on cho with the pet. ill try those two variables out in runs somewhere these days too i guess. It wouldnt be so bad if they were linked if the king didnt agroswap from the vipersting too honestly. thats just a pain on a 0 threat ability. cho doesnt even notice it, but the king does.... If its pure RNG then my luck is just bad i suppose =p

These guides are very nice, thanks! A couple notes if you start to do these and want to spare yourself from some real frustration: - PRO TIP: don't use 5pc T1 or T2! First I thought I must've been a trash hunter, and it may be the case, but after a while, the mobs randomly aggroing off my pet on me, and Gordok aggroing me as soon as I hit Cho, was making me suspicious. Basically, those set bonuses somehow screw up the threat table. Break the 5pc set bonus. - If you wipe, you better of resetting. The reason is, there are two packs and a single ogre patroling the courtyards, as well as Fengus. If you proceed through seamlessly, they shouldn't cause any problems, but if you need to rezz, their pathing can mess up by the time to run for it again and could make you wipe again. - Follow the *exact* paths in the videos(s) both for you and for your pet. Slipping away one yard could mean not aggroing a mob in the pack (thus aggroing you), aggroing another pack, and a wipe. - Don't use trueshot while moving through. Sometimes even though I do the regular pet pull, only one mob gets aggroed and the rest attacks me. I suspect it could be the aura reapplication on the pet (might be wrong here). - Care for the sprouts at the bug place. - On boss fight, it's important to have your pet land at least 1 special (and 1 normal) attack before you send her to her spot. Without it, I've seen them randomly aggro over me. Also, only attack them on the ledge where your pet is. There is weird aggroplay in place, and on my first try, I've made the mistake to land a Multi-shot on Gordok on my ledge, which after I couldn't reset him with two FDs. Yep, found out the hard way.

Dudeeeee, just spent like 4 hours doing tribute runs today. I have been watching tribute guides for the whole week and I thought I was ready... man, I was not even able to get to the boss :/ Sooooo thanks for your info, the way you explained and did your run gonna help me to finally do it. BTW TYVM for being a elf and not make use of shadow meld. There are tons of guides mabe by elf players and they seem to forget not all of us have that racial :D Once more, tyvm!!! Really nice guide!

Haha don't you worry at the start I was not able to get to the boss either! Take your time for the first few times no need to rush until you get comfortable. And yeaa I felt like showing a night elf advantage isn't really applicable to other races. Glad you enjoyed and let me know when you land the first solo kill

Dont worry, took me 3 days, 100g+, dying a million times, to actually get it. I still die with FD getting resisted, and some other dumb stuff, like forgetting about the eye, or kiting the dogs the wrong way.

What i love about this run is how easy the boss fight is, If you can make it to the arena then you're automatically going to do the fight no problem after a couple tries! The hardest part is getting to him fast without messing up your movements or the feign death bug triggering. Great guide, it taught me how to do this last year and another refresher this week :)

For those of you guys watching more recently, do not think of gnomish cloaking device as a free feign death. It no longer works in that manner, using it in combat will not drop aggro, and you will most likely waste its CD and die anyways if you try.

You can kill the insects by planting an explosive trap, aggroing the middle one with your pet and then firing volley to pull their aggro. Once they trigger, you FD into a second explosive to finish them off.

I chose not to label a Gold per hour for this run as it varies heavily on rng drops and potential book spawns. You are looking at around 80g/hour at a minimum if you are not wiping. Best of luck on the runs

Regarding getting aggro after you feign death. I heard that this can be avoided if you let your pet get at least 1 attack in on Cho, instead of just running nearby to get aggro. If you don't do that, then drinking or using a pot to get up from feign death is what pulls aggro to you. Letting the pet get at least 1 hit in on Cho avoids this.

Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing. It took me several frustrated hours/nights to finally kill the boss! I was very happy and then checked the book locations. Behind the bush was a book with foror in it... incredible. Wondering for how much it will sell in the auction house. Important: use fallback strategies. If something goes wrong it's much better going back and feign death instead tryin to get through. In the first area are a lot of patrols and you need to make sure they are not in your way.

@@Draaynaation thanks man! I just mentioned 2 things from other tutorials for this run. There are 3 chest locations to check out and once you are king there's a vendor in the first room from the entrance called Kreeg. Makes it easy to sell all the stuff an make a couple of runs

I dunno if you mentioned it. LoS/Line of sight also the melee boss when he is near. He uses charge and it can push you away and ruin feign death. I learned it the hard way that's how you grow.

Awesome guide, really well put together. I'd done many runs before but noticed u used cloaking device during the final fight. So i tried it. I got a resist from Cho'rush and used the device. Instead of working as another feign death it just reaggrod king off my pet and back onto me resulting in a game of trying to stay alive for 30 seconds. I'm not sure if cloaking device works 100% of the time, or anymore, or what happened. But an alternative would be Skull of Impending doom. Since getting this item i have gotten multiple resists and never lost a boss fight from it.

Yea sadly blizzard has been making random changes after I have made all my guides. Gnomish cloaking is patched and won’t drop aggro. Best of luck in the farm and keep up the grind!

I was actually kind of wondering about a spec like this, because I want to be able to farm tributes for while while still staying decent for raids. Having 0 points in hawk makes me feel a little uneasy, but I guess at a 2% proc rate, maybe it's not such a big deal with how fast bosses are going down? Might give this a shot for a bit.

Depending on your hit cap you can take points out of sure-footed or out of the bonus HP. But tbh it's not a big deal and if you are not trying to log top hunter in the world it won't make any difference. I'm still doing great dps with 95-97 parses without the aspect points

I'm stuck by where the 2nd summoning eye is killed. I always get killed by the mobs you scatter/conc before the invis. I just don't have enough time to conc the 2nd mob before he enters the dead zone. At that point I get dazed and it's impossible to get next to the ramp.

2 options there! You can either use detterence and monkey and just wing clip the mobs and run by. Or you can scatter one and wing clip the other just make sure to turn cheetah on and then feign death. Goodluck :)

Are you horde or alliance? Ah for selling inventory and repairing you can go to the library. You know the first jump up onto the ledge in the guide? Down below where the one guard and all the dogs, there is a door! This on the left hand side has an NPC that can sell and repair. Arrows wise I would go back to feathermoon strong hold. But to be honest I bring around 3000 and then if I stay long enough to use them all I just hearth out

What hunter macros do you use? do you not use the FD w/ trap macro? Also, what key binds and/or macros do you use for your pet? I have a pet attack and follow macro, but those dont really work for these runs because the attack macro automatically activates dash and the follow macro is for follow and passive so I find myself clicking on everything for these runs. What would you recommend?

I do use the FD/trap macros. I use the standard pet attack that you are referencing and on the one pull that I don't want pet to dash I just click the pet attack button on the pet bar. In terms of pet passive macro I take out the pet follow part since we want the pet to go back to the stay position. For keybimds scroll wheel up for pet attack and wheel down for passive is my personal favorite. Also I'll be making a macro guide in the near future here!

Ah they shouldn't aggro unless you get too close before your pet can pickup aggro. Make sure the pet pulls aggro first and then you should be set

Sometimes I forgot to switch the weapons for the fight. Oddly enough the extra 1% Crit on lok delar made a huge difference in my raid parsing. I feel like it shouldn't make a difference and barb blade is best but some how my crit chance overall seems to significantly go up even though it's 1%. Test both our yourself to be honest!

noel fredin ah the eyes are normally friendly if you are not in combat. So as long as your pass the eye when you are out of combat it normally will pass by without triggering the cast

The range tracker is just a weak aura (rubots hunter range check classic)! The radial wheel is an addon called ring menu. I think it's super useful. Saves a ton of keybindings

So after having a good run on my first attempt and dying to the hyena pat being in the corner where I wanted to FD Kromcrush, I ended up not getting past the Slipkik until I was all red. So being quite frustrated about this I called it a night and went to bed. Next evening went somewhat better and I made it to the boss just to take 4 deaths and about 15 attempts until nothing went wrong and he finally died. This is certainly harder than it looks in the videos, so expect to die a lot in the beginning. Let's see how much more practice it takes to actually make decent money with it :D

I believe it is only the scarabs/scorpios that are a problem (same group, before Guard Slip). I think you can pull them way back into the second room into a corner to then let the friend safely pass, standing on the other side in the room. If not, it would be best if you could ask the friend for help. Preferably aoe or if you have a rogue, let him pull with evasion so they are gathered together then into explosive trap. After that (with removed pet) FD and do another explosive trap + perhaps some grenade.

Hey man, I have a question about the item sharing thing via the spawned chest: Can you have a party with an alt on the same account and then pick the items up with your alt?

You may run into issues with instance ID, where when you log off it would give the person 60 seconds or less or get ported out. You would also need a third person to help invite your alt into the group. Overall I would say it’s not worth it haha

The real bonus of having a rogue alt would be unlocking the chests that the hunter cannot open. I managed to get a recipe worth 800g the first time I got a rogue to unlock a chest for me haha. And honestly I would say give it a try, it’s hard for me to guess if it would work. No harm in trying it :)

if you have any pet attack macros built into your abilities potentially you are breaking the passive/stay when attacking a new mob. Otherwise should just be a simple set stay command send pet in and then set to passive to get it to return to the stay

So you want to first set the pet on stay! Then you can send the pet in to attack and if you would like to go back to the stay position you hit pet passive.

@@Draaynaation fair enough dude, same happened to me tbh went back to retail for couple months started clearing nyalotha HC but the overlapping of gear systems and RNG is corruption DPS just felt like wow was a hollow shell I gone back to classic and enjoying it again, maybe you should give it a try again see if the spark rekindles anyways Ima stay subscribed and will be looking out for your videos in the future you have a good voice for wow content it's pretty chill, best of luck with the future mate

I don't know if it's just me unlucky or is it planable , but at the passage around 3:25 i always keep getting a guard at the bottom left, or a patrolling pack going right thru the middle. Then i have no chance of reaching the middle to FD. What do?

Piotr Karnikowski ideally speed up so you can avoid them all together. Doesn’t hurt to just feign death and allow the guards to move away before continuing

I'm getting an issue when I try to use Feign Death. It blows my cooldown, but never actually occurs, causing me to die. It doesn't even show up in my combat log, even though the CD is definitely going. I spent the better part of two hours trying to do this, but the furthest I got was the point where you use the invisibility potion. This was the only thing I kept leveling my hunter past the 40s for, after I realized how niche and poorly itemized it is as later phases roll out, but now even this isn't a viable option. Really, really disappointing, it pretty much killed my urge to play Classic at all.

Are you speced into improved FD? One major thing is making sure you FD and have your hands off the mouse. Any character turning can bug it. Best of luck! It takes tons of practice and is well worth once you get it down

Pet stay, pet attack, pet passive. So stay the pet send it towards target let it aggro and then pull back. If you have a macro that is making the pet change to follow this will mess it up

Probably bartender. He made an additional row of action bar on top of his health and placed the skills manually there. It looks like it's just one skill but probably a whole row above his portrait as soon as you start adding skills.

Hey bro, there a trick to using the cloaking device? Mine has NEVER taken me out of combat and always results in me dieing. Ive tried using LOS before using it the whole shabang, but i noticed on your vid you were hit AFTER you used it and it still dropped aggro....

So just recently they patched cloaking device and it no longer drops combat! At this point I no longer use it

@8:54 I keep having issues pulling the pack on the right as I run to the left wall and therefor can't use the Seaforium charge. Anyone had this issue and have a suggestion?

Nathan Lee that was an issue that periodically happens, what you can do is wait for your pet to first pull aggro, if the mobs on the right are too close your pet will pull them so you can delay running in. Once your pet is on its way back and has/has not pulled the right back you can then go ahead.

Benjamin Kerr yes once you hit passive it will return to its original stay point. If no stay point is set then the pet goes back to following you

All depends how long you are taking! Im assuming you must of died and noticed it while walking back in. I'm not sure on the exact respawn timer but iv done a run sold a tribute item to someone and the eyes were still not respawned. I'd assume over 20 mins on the respawn

Yea that happens sometimes! FD resists are really awful to get. Almost Always kills you. Make sure to not move your mouse when hitting fd
