I can't wait to see what oda will do with Mihawk .. Hopefully there won't be skipping at all in his future fight. The only thing I'm afraid of is that I feel character like him,shanks and dragon may only get 1 fight . It has me wondering if oda can emphasize how strong they truly are in 1 battle.. Besides that I'm expecting crazy things from Mihawk. Although the games call his marineford attack the world's strongest slash I would prefer if it was just a causally slice. That would show what lvl he truly is at..

4:55 i suggested in a stream that i want Mihawk to be able to cut things so well and with precise skill that Mihawk could let his blade phase through objects as he chooses like lets say he wants to cut you heart in half imagine how cool it could be if he swung his sword right through the target doing no external damage at all and just cut the heart specifically being the ultimate meaning to the phrase " A real swordsman chooses what they wish to cut and not cut which they don't want to cut"

There is a character from the manga record of Ragnarok that I think qualifies as a very skilled swordsman basically he trained by getting into a fight with someone and even if he lost the fight he would have a fight with that same opponents who beat him in his mind over and over again until he could beat them and completely surpassed them he got so good at this skill that allowed them to predict his opponents moves all the way to at least tens of thousands of times into the future if I'm remembering his name correctly it was something like sasaki kohjiro from the manga record of Ragnarok and I think he might be a good contender for the most skilled swordsman in anime what do you think?

Is Mihawk the true WSS, because i can't see how it makes sense.. When is Zoro defeating Mihawk?Before or after Laugh tale. If it's before, Zoro will fight Shiryuu on Laugh tale, and to pose a threat to Zoro he'll have to be stronger than Mihawk... Same in the final war..If Zoro fights Gandhi gorosei, he'll need to be stronger than Mihawk to be a threat to WSS Zoro.. If it's after Laugh tale, that means Luffy became PK, learned the true history, achieved a much harder goal faster than Zoro..It's humiliation on Zoro's part... And i saw some people thinking that Mihawk is Zoro's final fight..Well..again with the humiliation..Luffy becomes PK, learns the true history, brings down the marines, brings down the Gorosei and Imu, fulfills Joyboy's will, is the true savior of the world.. Now Zoro fights Mihawk..That's a way to kill a character arc...anticlimactic as hell.. Thoughts?

The debate of "skill" as it pertains to swordsmanship is such a cool topic. Taking away any and all magical powers, I doubt any characters at all are standing up to the sheer power Mihawk and even Zoro "currently" hold. Since the topic is skill. That IMO... automatically takes out a very high amount of characters. So RIP to the entire Bleach series, Black Clover characters, FT, SaO, and FATE. Anyone who uses an outside power to empower their swordsmanship... They are out. Now this list comes down to JUST, skill. And in that small list, guys like Killer B(Naruto) and Guts(Berserk) are borderline depending on how the individual defines their power/skills. So then you have characters like Gintoki(Gintama), Rurouni Kenshin(Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X), Mugen(Samurai Champloo), Afro Samurai, Levi Ackerman(AoT), and if allowed(even though he doesn't have an anime yet) Musashi Miyamoto(Vagabond). Characters like them have mad skills in swordsmanship. And even if you add Samurai Jack to this list... None of them stand up to Zoro much less Mihawk. Not skill, power, or speed.

@@Daniel-xb4oy That's outside of the scenario I set. I said "skill. Without any form of magical enhancement" Most if not ALL Bleach characters are Soul Reapers. This means they are Magic enhanced. And even still based off of what we've seen Mihawk do, I can see him holding his own in the Bleach-verse against a good majority. But pitting Mihawk against to the top10 strongest in Bleach is a fun debate.

@@OmAcC650 Sword skill has nothing to do with reishi or reiatsu I’m talking raw sword skill That’s why context is important, it’s Unohana we’re talking about here, she literally can’t display any skill with her bankai because her bankai is liquid, she can’t even hold it And her shikai is an animal Which is what makes the statement of her mastering 8000 sword styles even more impressive because it has nothing to do with her powers as her powers have nothing to do with swords She mastered the sword irrespective of her bankai or shikai cuz she can’t even wield a sword when she’s using either of them Which means it’s raw skill no bankai, no shikai, no reishi, no reiatsu, no hadō, no kidō, no healing abilities, just raw sword skill. And no “soul powers” And she fought kenoachi with raw sword skill before getting pressured into using her abilities For a comparison, Mihawk would probably explode if he was within a few hundred meter radius of kenpachi Unohana is a soul reaper, of course and it’s quite unfair to put someone who has lived for over a thousand years against a middle aged man But (imo) it’s kinda unfair to just disqualify her from a debate about skill because she isn’t human And also isn’t it kinda unfair to say no “magical enhancements” while giving Mihawk and zoro access to maki All three haki that zoro can use play a ridiculously huge roll in his combat prowess And Mihawk has damn near zero feats without haki. There is never a single scene where Mihawk performs a remarkable feat and his blade isn’t black, signifying that he is almost always using haki. In fact Mihawk might actually have zero non haki feats as his sword seems to be permanently imbued It’s almost the Same with zoro in all zoro’s noteworthy feats he’s using haki

Then there’s the arrrancars and fullbringers Id say Mihawk has a place in the top 50 And could probably be a lieutenant if he was in the verse If we’re talking about mihawks skill then I agree he’d be one of the best in the verse But you said top ten “strongest” characters in bleach And before the time skip you have characters making moons and suns, destroying entire dimensions, warping space and space-time with raw energy, Ichigo basically backhanding a black hole and breaking it and a 16 year old ichigo ripping through layers of hell Wether you believe hell to be a multiverse or a multi-planet structure that’s still impressive for a feat that happened before the timeskip where almost every character seems to get random ridiculous jumps in power out of nowhere And most high tiers would put that ichigo in a pack

Bro, I'm so tired of the Shanks is a 'Haki man' thing as if haki isn't part of Swordsmanship in One Piece, I would like to know if you think Zoro in the Battle against Mihawk will or won't use his haki, Unless Oda shows that Shanks use abilities that wouldn't be considered 'Swordsmanship' I think it's fair to say he is a Swordsman, considering how we only see him pull a Sword out when he is going to fight.
