beautiful video but a question if the hippocampus plays the major role in short term memory , which part of the brain is used in long term memory.

Long-term memory can hold an unlimited amount of information for an indefinite period of time. Short-term memories become long-term memories in a region of the brain called the hippocampus. The cerebral cortex is the major long-term repository for many aspects of memories. Most available evidence suggests that the functions of memory are carried out by the hippocampus and other related structures in the temporal lobe. The memories are consolidated as long-term memories in all aspects of the cerebral cortex

In the case of the brain, the limbic system sits along the edge of both sides of the thalamus. In this case, the border is between the neocortex and the diencephalon.
